in keeping with today's apparent lounge theme of floridians doing things with food that doesn't involve digestion . . . . this one
started off looking like one of those "normal crimes" that never seem to happen in florida, but instantly took a turn for the odd.

at least the robber wasn't naked or something.

MIRAMAR - When a customer pulled a gun on pizza delivery man Eric Lopez Devictoria this week, the Pizza Hut employee fought back with the only thing he had.

A large, steaming-hot pepperoni pie.

Fearing for his life, Devictoria, 40, lobbed the pizza at the gunman who had ordered him into a residence in the 1900 block of Acapulco Drive shortly before 1 p.m. Wednesday, police said.

The maneuver bought Devictoria enough time to run away, although he said he heard at least one gunshot.

A short time later, police arrested three boys -- a 17-year-old and two 16-year-olds -- in the 1900 block of Southwest 69th Avenue in Pembroke Pines.

I do wonder if it was think and crispy or hand tossed.  you would think that thin and crispy would be more aerodynamic.

I'm just thinking of how bad it would have hurt being hit with molten cheese and pizza sauce.  Ow.

So how bad would it feel to be hit with the average Pizza Crud pizza, which has been out of the oven for at least 30 minutes, and is luke warm at best?  Probably knock a couple of teeth out on that cold, rock-hard crust, other than that....
