Dixie, where do you find all this great stuff? Is there a newsletter? LOL!
In prehistoric times (before the internets) I would scan the backs of boxes, bags and packages of everything I bought for free offers. My son had a new KoolAid T-shirt every year as a child. I would get cookbooks, calenders, anything that would fill up the mailbox of a SAH mom. I was always excited to have something new come in the mail.
Now, the internet makes it sooooo much easier! Companies want you to try their samples. They know that if you like the sample you will most likely be a regular consumer of that product. It's a win-win situation!
For samples here's a good tip that I learned early on: Use a junk email address. I have a Gmail account for mine.
Do you like to try new products and tell your family and friends about them? Yeah, I'm a geek that way! Try these two sites:
http://www.bzzagent.com/http://houseparty.com/At the BuzzAgent site I've recently "buzzed" about the new Sonic toothbrush (150.00 ARV that was FREE for participating!), Pledge Multi Surface wipes and I should be receiving a Scrubbing Bubbles Automatic Shower cleaner in the mail any day now.
At the House Party site, I've had all kinds of great items to share with family and friends. I've "partied" about Hershey's fancy new chocolates, up coming shows on TV complete with DVD's of previews, Breast Cancer Awareness (free Betty Crocker pink plaid cookbook) ... yesterday I received my package to participate in the Hillshire Farms Deli wraps party.
Both of these sites are really cool!
When Jetty created this thread, I told her that I was test marketing a GPS system for a company. It's a TomTom Go 720. Really cool gizmo! There will be an incentive for my efforts (not sure what at this point) but just getting the opportunity to try it and give my feedback on it is fantastic! The company is called Center Code and you can participate by scrolling to the green shaded area here:
http://www.centercode.com/ This is the 1st time I've qualified to beta test for them. Seriously cool stuff!
I also do test drives on cars! Last month I test drove a Ford Fusion w/SYNC. For my effort I was rewarded with a $50 Best Buy gift card. Not too shabby huh? Really cool car w/Microsoft technology built in. It even managed to pick up the signal on the TomTom and loaded it into the system! Sahweeeet!
Sorry SO! I got long winded! There's no newsletter that I'm aware of. I belong to several sites that offer freebies. Trouble is that you have to wade thru them to find the good stuff. Anything I see that I know I'll like and order, I'll post here.
