"When you see that trading is done, not by consent, but by compulsion - when you see that in order to produce, you need to obtain permission from men who produce nothing - when you see that money is flowing to those who deal, not in goods, but in favors - when you see that men get richer by graft and by pull than by work, and your laws don't protect you against them, but protect them against you - when you see corruption being rewarded and honesty becoming a self-sacrifice - you may know that your society is doomed."

Bach. Finale Symphony, No.9. Ode to Joy.

Um, I think that's Beethoven, not Bach.

Bach was dead for 70+ years when Ludwig wrote the greatest symphony ever written, IMNSHO.

Listened to Daughtry for a while yesterday on the way home from KC. Not a fan of Idol, but thought he had a couple of cool songs.

Listening to a lot of The Offspring, Disturbed and Eve6 lately.

This past Saturday I was able to see Shanna with the Christmas Jug Band. Too bad she wasen't able to be at the Memorial for Norton with Roy, it would have been fantastic.
I was lucky enough to get backstage passes, well sort of, my wife does help to run the ticket sale at the PPAC  :-) , and meet her. She is an absolute sweetheart. I'd say she's all of 5'2 and 100 lbs...........maybe.
Yes, she is Van Morrisons daughter.

I wanted to hear something soothing to get my blood pressure down after reading some of the political threads. I put in "soft music" and came across this. Don't watch the video, just lay your head back and close your eyes....kinda worked for me. Believe I'll go lay me down now Zzzzzzzz
