I'm bipolar.

I searched for help regarding mood swings of illogical anger.

I get a bunch of pages that say things like, "People with bipolar disorder have a high risk of suicide, job loss, divorce, etc...."

1. I like to think of it as a spiritual problem, retrowire.
 
I'm not talking church and religion here. Most churches in America are devoid of spirituality. Even though most people in America claim to be Christians, we live in a society that is materialistic in a couple of different senses. It is spiritually materialistic and it is materialistic in the sense that most people think of materialism; that is the acquisition of possessions. Since most scientists and doctors, including psychiatrists and psychologists, are spiritual materialists, it means that they aren't really equipped with the ability to solve the problem of mental illness. They just know how to treat the symptoms, and sometimes they can't even do that well.

So it might be kind of hard to find answers in our society when you are having spiritual trouble because very few people here know anything about spirituality. When you did a search on the internet you probably just ran up against the prevailing wisdom regarding matters of mental health which is overdue for a paradigm shift.

A good Jungian therapist can help in these matters in my experience. When you seek out a therapist, specifically look for people who subscribe to the Jungian point of view. I can also suggest several books on the subject that have been helpful to me if you are interested.

Many years ago, when I was working in Tennessee, I hoped on the motorcycle and went in search of "quietness", which is difficult on a loud bike.

I did find, as I recall, Tenn. route 99 just north of Tullahoma. I followed it and it turned into a lane and a half road used primarily by farmers. I just cruised at 45-50 mph and the road wound up alongside a river. I stopped the bike and sat under a tree for 45 minutes. Not one car, truck, bike or hiker came by. All I did was watch the birds, the river and appreciate how beautiful the day was. Dead quiet.

THAT was spiritual.

That is why living in the country is so nice,I can leave my front door and in just a few minutes be in the back 40 where I don`t know another person exists.

I guess it takes a Lib/Prog to F-Bomb the whole Internet for not catering to his every perceived need. Personally, even before we dipped our toes into the 'net with our Packard Bell's 2400 baud modem I knew there would be @#$% om the Internet that I wouldn't like. Duhhh-uhhhhhhh!!! I also knew the magical way to not see the @#$% ... even before I knew sites like Stormfront or PornWithPuppiesRUs* existed ... don't go to such sites.
