Everything is Normal

America marches onward, pretending that nothing has changed and nothing is different. Republicans are not only a legitimate political Party, they are favored to win the House and possibly the Senate in the next election. Donald Trump has done nothing that would disqualify him from being the front-runner of his Party. We pretend that nothing has happened that would in any way change the status quo.

Because we are comfortable with the status quo and like water, we take the path of least resistance when running downhill. We disregard the rock slides and the fallen trees. We just go around them as if they didn't exist.

There is nothing that has happened that would prevent the media from reporting on election politics just as they have always done in the past. Everything is normal. Both sides are still raising money. Both sides are competing for the attention of voters. Uncomfortable truths are swept under the rug, hopefully never to be discussed.

The truth is, nothing is normal.

All you dems had to do was remain sane and govern from center left as moderates, like biden said he would, and you probably could have had him in for two terms.

But no.

You had to go far left. So far left that you're going to have to to jam as much through as you can before november, knowing that you're going to lose congress this fall and the presidency in 24.

You assclowns made that bed, and we're damn sure going to make sure you sleep in it.
