When DU first came out I thought it was full of young people who still didn't have a clue about life.
Turns out it is full of older people who still don't have a clue about life.

I may not lock my doors while sitting at a red light and a black man is near, but I sure as hell grab on tight to my wallet when any democrats are close by.

Yeah, at first impression, one can get the wrong impression.

The usual tendency is to think of the primitives as being a bunch of college-ageds and thirties, given the ways the primitives are, but in actual fact Skins's island might as well be a senior-citizens' center.

Really.

You would think that older folks would at least have a little common sense, but they are as clueless as a 19 year old kid in college.

Normal people, after starting a family and getting a job and paying taxes, make a transition to a conservative viewpoint.  Not the DUmmies though.

When a person abuses drugs/alcohol, you age chronologically but your maturity and mental growth gets stuck in neutral. Many, many of those who inhabit the DUmp have the mentality of a pre teen. It's apparent by the silliness and petty insults that they post; stuff that we outgrew by the second grade.
Come to think of it, unions do create jobs. Companies have to hire two workers to do the work of one.

The ages of the Primitives of Prominence reveal one thing they all have in common. They are the children of the 1960's with a common ailment: Drug induced brain damage.

It's probably scary for people like you and Freeper, to realize that many, if not most, primitives, are old enough to be your parents.  (In my case, they're only old enough to be my older brothers and sisters.)

CalPig and "69" do not belong in the same hemisphere.

Notice that while sometimes I may be off, I'm never too far off.

Earlier in the day, long before I saw this campfire, I'd seen another one where the CalPig primitive said she wasn't as ancient as the trof primitive, who's apparently nearing 71 years.

To which I remarked here, on another thread, that was stretching it a bit, because the CalPig primitive was only circa six months younger than the trof primitive, and with that many years, half a year doesn't mean much.

So I was off, but not too far off.

I think that with her main squeeze it would considered 66 or 99.

Mental age is closer to flipping the numbers around.  :loser:
Fixed in 24 business hours.
Then-Chief Justice John Marshall observed, “Between a balanced republic and a democracy, the difference is like that between order and chaos.”

John Adams warned in a letter, “Remember democracy never lasts long. It soon wastes, exhausts, and murders itself. There never was a democracy yet, that did not commit suicide.”
