What's the story on this liberal_economist primitive? Only 33 posts. Caused quite a ruckus on this thread. In all my years of reading DU, I have never seen such a string of overtly philosophically conservative posts by one non-tombstoned poster.

What these DUmmies don't understand is how corrupt the system is.  I can give you a list of 5 people that I am aware of that get SSDI from things ranging from Social Anxiety to Depression to Migraines.  And most of them have paid very little into SS, yet they pull over $1000 a month.

It's ridiculous, and the back pay checks...  Guy with Social Anxiety got back pay for 15 years.

My Grandmother who has worked 45 years in a sewing factor, she deserves her SSI... and guess what DUmmies, she actually broke her back walking out of that factor slipping on ice.  She still went to work every ****ing day minus the time she needed to heal for the next 15 years after the fall.  You idiots would have sued the company and got SSDI.

A kid in a wheel chair or with downs and or other alignments that make it impossible for them to work.  They are owed SSDI because we as a wealthy nation can take care of them.

My ex-wife is actually an amputee and gets SSDI, and I don't even agree with that.  She can sit in a ****ing office chair just like me and work her 40-50 hours a week.

The Disability system is a joke, and if you came to this small town where the fake disabled pay off the doctors to help them get on SSDI you would see that.

There is a place for SSDI, Food Stamps, and other welfare programs... but the system is abused to the eLeVenty!!!!!! and is unsustainable.

Mmmm...not really.  More like simple bemusement!  I love how the DUmmies always try to chock up our mocking to some "fascination" or "obsession" or "making us feel powerful and clever". 

They'll never understand that they are like performing monkeys in a zoo; we just like to point and laugh, and this forum ostensibly serves as a way to simply virtually elbow the guy next to you and go "Pfhahaha!  Hey, dude, check this one out!

Same thing in my town, we have 35,000 residents but I am exposed to the worst of the worst. Hearing people brag about how they have the system beat.

Several of them talk too much. It might catch up to them. One guy is buying and selling late model cars for cash. He has Medicare and Medicaid both for insurance, even his multi vitamins have  zero co payment. I see him sitting on his front porch of his very nice section 8 apartment that is designed for older folks, or the disabled. When I drive by on my way to work, I want to run his ass over. He brags that he can live any place in the US for under $300 a month rent.  :argh:
