"Ah, it's that time of year again. Time to pledge your virginity to Daddy at a 'Purity Ball'!"Further proof that there is nothing wholesome or pure in life that the DUmbasses, in their own inimitably hateful and boorish fashion, can't taint with the stench of their own sick, soulless mockery.

"My daddy is treating me with respect and honor!"
Dear Fathers and Daughters, Once again, we extend a warm invitation to our 9th Annual Father Daughter Purity Ball as we celebrate the beauty of our daughters and the glory of their fathers. The ball will be held at the Broadmoor Hotel Lake Terrace Ballroom Friday, May 16th 6:00pm to midnight.
Our evening will begin with the The Regal Daughters Ballet Company presenting beautiful worship dance. We will then enjoy a formal three-course dinner. Fathers will sign a covenant of protection and purity to influence generations to come.
The daughters silently commit to live pure lives before God through the symbol of laying down a white rose at the cross. One of the most memorable highlights of the ball is when the fathers stand in the middle of the ballroom and form a circle around their daughters standing all aglow in their lovely ball gowns. The fathers place their hands on their daughters, and together we pray for purity of mind, body, and soul for generations to come. The girls will then wear purity rings to remind them of their commitment.

8. This is OK?
But they busted the FLDS?
I don't think so ..........
Um, this is about as far away from the FLDS as one can imagine, but by all means, continue to display your stupidity.

31. That just scared the shit out of me - "honor killings"
Your're right - the parallels with the middle eastern "tradition" of honor killings are creepy.
Fathers "guarding" their daughter's virginity and protecting it as if the family's "honor" is dependent on it.
The "promise keeper" phenomenon creeps me out as well. The "Daddy" as the unchallenged head of the household, to be obeyed no matter what makes a mockery of our modern egalitarian society.
These folks are sick puppies.
When an asshole like you considers something "sick", one can be sure it has much redeeming social value.

52. What ****ing sick freaks.
All the responses are pretty much variations on those above. DUmbasses are repulsedby anything which smacks of decency and morality and are forever looking for ways to drag it down into the mud with them, vile creatures that they are.
