Choked on that one right out of the gate.  Not a good way to start being the smartest guy in the room, is it, Mr Dodd?  Welcome to the Cave, however long that may be.

Well there ya go sparky, you learned something right there.  The Tea Party is not a political party in the sense of Ds, Rs & Ls.  It is a concept.

And the Tea Party types I know and have met are not solely Republicans either.  A good many (maybe even majority) are Independents and Democrats who are simply fed up with an ever less responsive government, among other things.

Are you saying Ron Paul was NOT a tea party person?

No he wasn't and never will be.

But he and his cult did try to co-opt it to make themselves look relevant.

There actually are a few conservative Democrats.  I know, I used to be one.  But I figured out that the Democrats were co-opted by the communists.

The Tea Party isn't just one group either.  There are several and with no one person in charge.  It really is grass roots.  The main thing that holds them all together is that they all believe in smaller government and a Constitutional Republic.  Not what we have going on today.

Wasn't trying to be scientific.  Just answering a question.

Don't care for Ron Paul.  See my line...I'm liberal.

Why are you a liberal?

Are you poor?  did you grow up poor?

No, I really want to know why he wants to be liberal.

Is he poor?

Does he think people that work to get a lot of money owe something to him?

Does he give a good portion of his salary to people to help them out since he thinks everyone else should?

If he does it will be the first I have ever heard, and I'm knee deep in liberals around here.

Every liberal I met believes others owe them even if the other person is not rich but just better off than they.

Sam Dodd:

What do you think about this scenerio, Sam Dodd?

Rich person and poor person goes into the grocery store after a gallon of milk.

Poor person pays $2.00 for milk.
Rich person pays $8.00 for milk.

Is that fair?
