It is symbolic but it is good in the sense that the GOP has lived up to their promise so far.
Hi,
I am not thrilled with the word symbolic, that creates the illusion that they voted on it as a mere procedural move and nothing else. If the libs think it was procedural, then they should have a similar vote in the senate but they will not, Reid knows better.
The most recent Rasmussen poll shows that 55% of America still want the bill repealed. The signifigance of the vote is showing the libs are still governing against the will of the majority of America. The reason the republicans would want to have the vote in the senate is to make it easier to vote out a bunch of senators in 2012 and make it harder for BO to get elected.
To me what is really important is who steps up for the republicans in 2012; cannot be names from any of the old guard. Unfortunately Palin has been destroyed by the media. You saw the lib member of the house yesterday referring to Nazis, saying that if you repeat something over and over eventually the public begins to believe it.......well that is what they damn sure did to Palin.
Right now my list includes more candidates I don't want than anything.
Symbolic my ass, if the republicans are smart they will not let go until the damn bill is totally repealed.
