A primitive gets a job.

As usual, a great read, this one from the artful Charles Henrickson.

Yeah, I read this one last night. Didn't recognize the whiner's name. Just another DUmmie.

“The American people will never knowingly adopt socialism. But, under the name of ‘liberalism’, they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program, until one day America will be a socialist nation, without knowing how it happened.” - Norman Thomas, U.S. Socialist Party presidential candidate 1940, 1944 and 1948

"America is like a healthy body and its resistance is threefold: its patriotism, its morality, and its spiritual life. If we can undermine these three areas, America will collapse from within."  Stalin

One thing that struck me about that was the mention of the State buying him the work boots etc. for the job, and I thought, "Dang, using welfare money to actually help put somebody to work and succeed at it, that makes a whole lot more sense than paying for some crack ho's sixth kid!"

I bet the welfare dept asks for the socialist work boots back when they find out he got a job the same day he got them.

I could be wrong but I got the impression they gave him the gear because he got the job, to set him up for success in it.  There wouldn't be any point in giving out safety boots to every random unemployed joker who wandered in and filed for assistance, with no idea whether some future job would require them or not.  Governments do stuff right every once in awhile, after all.

I never understood why people think manual labor jobs are worth so much less, as they take so much more out of you than mental work. But then, I've always been a bit Socialist. . . .

[What a surprise! A Socialist in DUmmieland!]  [/quote]

Interesting that in the fields of work I have done for 40 years it is the people that do manual work, what with over time, do in fact make as much if not more then the college educated office personal.

A 2 year degree in accounting starts at about $25-$30 a year. Manual labor with over time can bring in $35,00 a year or more to start.

It all depends on the hours one is willing to work, 10-12 hours a day 6 days a week, very good money, 20 hours of over time at time and a half, Yippie.

Manual labor with no over time stinks, but it will pay the bills.

First question in production work the Temps ask is,  " Is there overtime.?"

You only have to look at the cars and trucks in the parking lot of a factory to tell about the wages paid.  If there are 100 cars in the lot and 3 junkers, good pay.    If one sees more then 30 older rattle traps out there, forget it.
