Undies Surgery (Again)

I'm scheduled for Abdominal Aorta Bypass surgery on the 4th of January.  Is there a pill I can take instead?   :innocent:

Undies, you will very definitely be in my prayers.  Enjoy your Christmas!   DO you know how long you will be in the hospital (ball park?) And can someone post an update on how you are faring after surgery, please, so I don't worry?

Thank you.  I want (need) all the prayers I can get.  I don't know if I am worthy of another miracle so soon, but I'm going with the idea that I am.

I will arrange some sort of update grapevine between now and then.

I will be reporting for surgery on the morning of the 4th.  The surgery is a 2-4 hour ordeal.  I will be in ICU until my bowels and abdomen are functioning again.  This could be three days in the ICU.  After that time I will be transfered to a new specialty hospital to recoup for "a week or two". 

Here's a promise:  I WILL NOT be in that hospital for two weeks.  I insist on being home by the 12th.  I'm headstrong that way.

YOU ARE deserving of another miracle!!! Do NOT question that again, ok!!

Now that that's settled.....will be sending lots of prayers for a speedy time in the ICU...and a quick recovery in the specialty place.

Have a Merry Christmas, my friend and try to not think too much....it won't do any good except to make you tense and stress.

I heard from the doctor again today.  The surgery schedule has been changed to the next day, Tuesday January 5th.

I like that day better anyway.  I had an aunt who died in this same hospital on January 4th, 1996.  Why tempt fate into being a comedian?
