New Capitol display sought with Santa "hell" warning

One guess which "Church" wants to do this .

The Olympian
A Kansas-based church that has blamed deaths in Iraq on U.S. tolerance of homosexuality has asked Gov. Christine Gregoire's office to approve a "Santa Claus will take you to hell" message to display among other religious statements in the Capitol's third-floor hallway.

The Westboro Baptist Church's message would be near a Nativity set, three signs mocking atheism, and an atheists' sign that celebrates the winter solstice, while also taking a shot at religion as "myth and superstition" that enslaves minds, all in the state Capitol's third-floor hallway.

The first part of Westboro's proposed message, according to Spokesman-Review reporter Rich Roesler:

"You'd better watch out, get ready to cry, You'd better go hide, I'm telling you why 'cuz Santa Claus will take you to hell. He is your favorite idol, you worship at his feet, but when you stand before your God He won't help you take the heat. So get this fact straight: you're feeling God's hate, Santa's to blame for the economy's fate, Santa Claus will take you to hell."

What are the odds that we can tell the Israelis that Phelps is building a nuke to blow up Jerusalem ('cause it's full of fags, doncha know...), and get them to launcha pre-emptive strike on WBC?

In Fred's world, everything is "fag" infested, whatever that means? He also said that God hates Bangladesh because there are Muslims, even though they kill gays. Phelps needs just to come out of the damn closet. I saw that at his site. Vile stuff. It is a vile parody of Santa Clause is coming to Town, titled, Santa Clause Will Take You To Hell! It insults soldiers and Catholic priests. If Santa is taking everyone to Hell, I rather be in Hell with Santa than be with those pinheads. I don't want to see that next to the Nativity scene. What next Fred? You're going to say that Jesus is a "fag" and "fag enabler" and he is going to Hell.  :mental: Anyways, Fred got it all backwards. He and his toadies are going straight to Hell.

Man!  I can't believe these people! How ignorant are they!  Everyone knows it is Nackles who spirits off bad children, presumably to Hell.

Hey if Santa Claus is taking everyone to Hell, I rather be in Hell than be with those scumbags in Heaven. He's the same ****head that said 9/11 victims, American soldiers who die, Fred Rogers "Mr. Rogers", Tony Snow, Ronald Reagan, Billy Graham, and Pope John Paul II were going to Hell because they were "fags", "dykes", "fag enablers", and "fag lovers".  :mental: They even went as far as blaming Mr. Rogers for causing 9/11. :puke: Anyways, Phelps and his toadies are the ones going to Hell.

this is what happens when you throw open the gates for what is considered "religious expression".  how long til the "church of satan" requests space to place a vignette or sign in the capitol?  how long til local shia mosques can stage ashura celebrations there, complete with slicing open the scalp and having blood pour down the face?

Bingo!  This doesn't surprise me at all.  Since they aren't residents of the State of Washington, it'll probably not be approved, but someone else will come up with something just like it and it will be.

Wish  we could find out who is funding that prick.   Last I heard it is is just him and his kids.   There is no 'church' beyond them.

I saw their vile music video of "Santa Claus will take you to Hell". Apparently they say that "God hates Christmas" and "Christmas Is A Fag Holiday".  :mental: Christmas is a time to celebrate Jesus's birthday, but I know it was not in December because records showed he was born during the census count and harvest, which puts it between April to October between 6 to 4 BC. Also, people cared more when people died. I guess Fred thinks Jesus is a "fag" and "fag enabler".  :mental: He is just as anti-Christian and anti-military, as he is anti-gay. This cult needs to be eradicated.

Westboro has 70 members. I would imagine that they could be funded by the same group that funds the ACLU. Even $250,000 would not be enough to do their 40 protests a week. WBC is made up of the Phelpses, Hockenbargers, Chris Davis (married to one of the Phelpses), Teresa Davis (relationship to Chris Davis is unknown), George Stutzman (rumored to have an affair with Margie Phelps), and the Drains, who were newly converts and joined in 2000. There is a de facto member who keeps in contact with WBC and pickets with them named Bart McQueary. He was a wrestler promoter, pornographer, and statutory rapist/fornificator and he was accepted by WBC, despite the fact they are anti-adultery/anti-fornification. Another person I suspect is likely colluding with WBC is Michael Crook because he shares the same sentiments with Fred Phelps, especially they share the same hatred for gays, soldiers, young people who die, and Christians. Crook also praised WBC and Phelpses and called them "heroic". However, Crook is pro-adultery, pro-abortion, divorced twice, and is possibly bisexual/gay. Than again as pointed out, they accepted McQueary, despite the fact he is a pornographer and fornificator.

incredibly sleazy.

If they really have an issue with homesexuality, they need to take it to 16th and Castro in San Francisco and sell it there, not at the funerals of heros.

So everytime I'm told I'm going to hell for being an Atheist, I can have that person arrested?

Sleazy is a understatement. If they really have an issue with gays, than yeah they should take it to gay communities or decision makers. I have read they even protested a Nissan factory in Tennessee because they had some issues with a Nissan dealer. Also, they protest sporting events and church services because they are homosexual.  :mental: I think Fred Phelps is a closeted and severely repressed homosexual and is lashing out as a result.

Atheist's national Holiday?
by Chuck Norris

Quote
Atheists from England to the West Coast of America are stepping up their efforts this year to make a bigger antagonistic splash on the Christmas scene. From London and Washington, D.C., buses to Colorado billboards, skeptics are skewering religions with little respect to the adherents of the religions.

At the forefront is a group's government-sanctioned posting of a sign by a Nativity scene in the Capitol of Washington state (and now also in Wisconsin and Illinois): "At this season of THE WINTER SOLSTICE may reason prevail. There are no gods, no devils, no angels, no heaven or hell. There is only our natural world. Religion is but myth and superstition that hardens hearts and enslaves minds."

I am a patriot, and I believe that atheists are free to believe, speak and post whatever they want. This is America, and that's their First Amendment right. But to do so with harassment and hatred under the guise of free speech is despicable. An anti-religious poster filled with spite is in no way equal to a religious symbol, such as a Nativity scene. Where are the political correctness police when religious followers are the victims?

If such words were written against any social minority group, protests would be ubiquitous. But anti-religious bigotry is in vogue these days. Still, there is absolutely no justification for these atheists' written revile. And if they want to keep using hate-filled language against theists -- particularly Christians -- then they shouldn't be surprised when they meet up with a yuletide (written) roundhouse kick.

Anyone can spew disdain for religion, but is that what America's Founders created our rights for? Just because they post such verbal vomit, does that demonstrate intellectual superiority or the type of moral decency our Founders hoped we would perpetuate?

It is said that branches draw their life from the vine. Each is separate yet all are one as they share one life giving stem . The Bible tells us we are called to a similar union in life, our lives with the life of God. We are incorporated into him; made sharers in his life. Apart from this union we can do nothing.
