This modification adds the preview of the first post within a topic. The admin has the ability to choose the length of the preview within the Admin section under Posts & Topics. Please note the message preview length by default is set to 0, which renders no preview.

I think this might improve usability.  It would be a nice feature.
This post is disruptive, hurtful, rude, insensitive, over-the-top, or otherwise inappropriate.

That's the same error message that came up with my wife the other night. :(

No, my friends, there’s only one really progressive idea. And that is the idea of legally limiting the power of the government. That one genuinely liberal, genuinely progressive idea — the Why in 1776, the How in 1787 — is what needs to be conserved. We need to conserve that fundamentally liberal idea. That is why we are conservatives. --Bill Whittle

The problem is the small GIRLFRIEND 2.1 dll's that have written themselves into the OS and are now memory resident forever.

This mod is working isn't it?  I see the preview on the last 5 messages listed at the bottom of the front page.

I don't think so. I am WAPI right now, but I think you are describing the 5 most recent posts in the information center.

That mouseover preview thing wasn't my favorite feature in the world, anyway. I hate the way the URLs baloon up at you on espn.com. They even took it off their main page, but left it on subordinate pages.

Right, but when I mouse over the 5 most recent posts, I get a small pop window showing a preview of the post by the persons name.
I just went and did a screen cap.

There are some built in features to SMF. While there are some "preview" features on recent replies, the message preview on mouseover doesn't work while in a board. Besides, it's not compatible with our version of SMF.
