Do You Have Republicans in Congress?


If so, don't fail to communicate with them soon about the Affordable Care Act. Democrats are already fighting the "Repeal and Run" strategy, but they're going to need help from some Republicans if they're going to stop the creation of chaos if ACA is repealed without a good working replacement.

You might think it's a waste of time to write, email, or call your Republican House Representative or Senators. It's not. Register your opinion with them, strongly but without name-calling. If you have an ACA story to tell that demonstrates how important it is to you, tell it. Explain that you are a voter in that person's state or congressional district and are watching closely to see what action is taken.

Don't delay. Do it today. Encourage others you know to do the same. Everyone in Congress has to face elections. Don't let them forget that you are watching what they do. Make yourself clear.

If ever there was a time to communicate with Congress, it is now. Don't miss your chance to speak your mind. If enough people do, it may affect how people in Congress vote. We won't get everyone to change his or her mind, but if we can get some, we could change the course of things.

Please, folks, let your Republican legislators know how you feel. You could save your own life or the life of someone else who might suffer and die for lack of healthcare coverage.

All Ocare did was expand the welfare rolls by roughly 10 million at the expense of the working middle class.
It mandated coverages for everyone with no regard to actual risk or need but allocated payment of premiums to those with employer provided insurance.

And it brought down costs by adding an extra layer of super competent government management. Look at glorious the roll out of Obamacare was.

OhBummer!Care was supposed to be a jobs program, forcing all those hospitals and doctors to hire more people to do the extra administrative overhead, convert from paper records to computer, and report every "privacy violation" (like when a patient record gets faxed to the incorrect doctor).

Who knew doctors and hospitals would react by merging and minimizing that government-mandated overhead.

Our company lost about 50% of it's clients because of it, private practice selling out to major hospital systems because the simply couldn't afford the mandates. And it didn't hurt us nearly as bad as it did the medical staff. A LOT of those people, hell most of them, lost their jobs. Competition dwindled and costs soared without it.
What used to cost me 200/mo with 1000 dollar deductible is not over 800/mo with a 4k deductible... and the coverages are stripped. It's a toss-up right now if a straight HSA with major medical only would be better or not.
What I am paying now for my family would literally have covered 4 families before this disaster.

I have a little "insider knowledge". My wife works in Medical Records, and she's seen the merger stuff, too.
