A 21-year-old activist, journalist and candidate for office has been arrested and charged in connection with the “attempted assassination” of a Louisville mayoral candidate, local authorities said late Monday.

Quintez Brown was taken into custody without incident after police said a gunman walked into candidate Craig Greenberg’s office hours early, and opened fire.

Brown has been charged with attempted murder and four counts of wanton endangerment, according to a Louisville Metro Police spokesperson.

The 21-year-old was identified as “a former intern and editorial columnist” of the Louisville Courier-Journal by the paper itself, where he wrote that he had studied philosophy and Pan-Africanism while studying at the University of Louisville, where he'd previously served as the opinion editor of the school’s newspaper, the Cardinal.

He is not the white supremacist Fundamentalist gun-nut everything-evilist the Prog MSM seek.

Since the would-be assassin is obviously racist and very probably motivated by racism, I'll ask ... is Craig Greenberg Jewish or simply Germanic? Asking, because Jews seem to be a favored target of black racists.

So, antisemitic? Very possibly. Targeted for association with the university? Very possibly. And very possibly both.

Police in Kentucky were seeking an “active shooter” on Monday in what local officials say was an assassination attempt on a Democratic party candidate for Louisville city mayor.

Craig Greenberg tweeted that he and his staff were safe and uninjured after an unidentified gunman entered his fourth-floor office in a downtown office building at around 10am and fired multiple shots.

The Louisville Metro police department said it was “working a situation” at a downtown location, but was unable to confirm if a suspect was in custody. Reporters at the scene said multiple police units responded to the incident, and that Greenberg and his campaign staff were led to safety by a Swat team, apparently unharmed.

According to Louisville council member David James, speaking to WDRB News, it remained an “active shooter” situation at Monday lunchtime.

Brown, who is currently running as a independent candidate for Louisville Metro Council District 5, went missing for 11 days last summer.

When Brown was found last summer, no further information was released from police.

"We are asking for privacy and would appreciate everyone's patience and support while we tend to the most immediate need, which is Quintez's physical, mental and spiritual health," the statement from Cecilia Brown and Jacobe Daughterty said in July 2021.

The man accused of shooting at a Louisville mayoral candidate inside his campaign office is out of jail after his bond was paid by a Black Lives Matter group.

Quintez Brown, 21, left Louisville Metro Corrections Wednesday night after police said he was identified as the gunman who opened fire inside Craig Greenberg's office in Butchertown on Monday.

"It’s unfortunate Mr. Brown has been bailed out of jail, due to his propensity to violence. I think it's irresponsible and I hope those who contributed to posting this bond are prepared to be held accountable if Mr. Brown injures someone while out."

Imagine if the races were swapped.  If a white guy tried to murder a black mayoral candidate and was immediately bailed out of jail by a white supremist group, the media outrage would be 24/7 for days.  Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton would be on a different program every half hour screaming about white privilege.  Various black Congressmen would be issuing statements about how the right wing was a existential threat to democracy.  There would be calls for the DOJ to file hate crime charges and the FBI to examine the source of funds.  There would be calls to freeze their bank accounts, suspend all their fund raising and remove them from social media.  DU would have dozens of threads with hundreds of posts about how evil white people are and the corruptness of the judicial system.  Seems like the media and DU are just ignoring this particular case for some reason.

It should be noted that Metro Council President David James is a black man and is trying to strengthen the police department after they were effectively ham-strung by concessions to BLM, resulting in a surge in violent crime.
