Incredibly crass, tasteless, and H5!  :rotf:

Awesome.  Any respect I have for his music (and it's pretty good, once you get past the songs on the radio) is blown away (heh) by his utter inability to deal with success.

And to leave a child behind with that woman...  loser.

Those who see their lives as spoiled and wasted crave equality and fraternity more than they do freedom. If they clamor for freedom, it is but freedom to establish equality and uniformity. The passion for equality is partly a passion for anonymity: to be one thread of the many which make up a tunic; one thread not distinguishable from the others. No one can then point us out, measure us against others and expose our inferiority.

Eh, IMO, he wasn't a very good guitarist. Sure, a few songs were good but, meh.

Anyways, funny pic.

I thought the solo on "Heart Shaped Box" was kewl.

And the OP is lulz.

Did you see Slayer won a Grammy this year?  And it was for their worst-selling, worst-reviewed album.  Tom Araya's got grey hair and shit.  :-)

Yeah.  ****in' ridiculous.  I've listened to as much of it as I can stand, and it's terrible.

A Lifetime Achievement award would have been better.  I hate to say it but I think it's over for them creatively-speaking.  25 years wasn't a bad run.

For who and how long?

"Lifetime" should be 30+ years. Any less is just futzing around.

We were discussing the minutiae of '80s metal bands.  Specifically, Slayer, circa 1983.  My personal opinion is that Dave Lombardo is the best drummer in heavy metal history.  Better than that schmuck from Metallica, better singer, better guitar players.  Talent out the ass, but I think they jumped the shark with their last album, if not before when their original drummer left the band in 1998.

Slayer -- hmm, never heard of them.

Seriously.

25 years is too young -- check back in 10 years or so.
