PBS showing "FEMA Camps" -- holy shit!

This thing uses Fox, Beck, Bachmann; old news reel footage, all conflating Obama with Hitler.

This is running on PBS station KBDI in Denver. Teabaggers are going to run with this, bigtime.

The station is running this as part of their pledge drive.

14. Reruns and program info

http://www.kbdi.org/tv_schedule/program_details.cfm?ser...

It's hard to watch all the way through, the FEMA camps are just an excuse to vilify Obama. "Camp FEMA" is nothing more than a further attempt to ramp up fear of our first non-white President. It's damned blatant racism, stunning to see it on PBS.

If someone would like to send the info to KO or Maddow, please do so; I tried, but my stupid dialup won't let me at the moment.

40. Isn't this an old film? I remember seeing it when Bush was still in office. Unless they updated it

I can't see how it can be viewed as "vilifying" Obama. I think it even used to have a bit of a following on DU back in the day. So did Alex Jones and FEMA Camp conspiracies in general. Funny how times change.

42. This film, "CAMP Fema", is current enough that there are references to the birth certificate mess. And pictures of Obama and snippets from some of his speeches are laid over the scenes of Nazi marches. The school children singing about Obama are shown with scenes of Hitler Youth, while a series of very white people warn us about imminent fascism. This is a new film, the station showing it boasted that this was the 'premier' showing.

16. Well time to get the bullhorns out...

And remind everyone who built the camps...Bush and co...

I have tried to tell the democrat party....we MUST NAME this mess...name those fema camps...BUSH'S FEMA CAMPS...in every post you make.

Name this depression now or they will hang that on Obama too...

This is the Bush Crime Family Depression....or the Great Neocon Folly....The Fault of the Elite Depression.... The Neocon Wreck of the World........The Great Republican Fumble......whatever ...just NAME IT.

Repeat that name every single chance...for heaven's sake...dont let the Republican thugs name the mess they made and hang it on Obama and the Dems.

If you can come up with a better name...lets hear it.

17. The "democrat party"?

Our proper name is the Democratic Party. The term "democrat party" is a GOP slur in which they try to deny us the positive goodwill invoked by the word "democratic".

PLease stop referring to us as the "democrat party".

26. Do you mean the REX-84 concentration camps?

Those are a Reagan creation. Clinton defunded REX-84 immediately upon entering office and Bush's very first action was to restore the funding.

46. Yeah, I've seen that. It doesn't even touch on the history.

The original purpose was to deal with a massive "illegal alien" problem. A REX-84 concentration camp has to have a barbed-wire fence, lookout towers, and a rail link. Sound familiar?

Clinton totally eliminated funding right away and many fell into disrepair and only the "dual purpose" sites (like supply depots) were left with staff. Bush, as his first act, restored funding and brought them back to ready status. I have had no luck in finding out how Obama has handled that issue. Any news would be appreciated.

Yeah, they should've spliced in some of those schoolhouse ballads about GWB, right? Find me the video of those instances and I'll shoot an e-mail with a link to them over to the corner-office chiefs over at PBS...

You and I are thinking remarkable alike lately.  I was wondering how or win the "camps" were born negated and nullified the rest of the message.  Where is that birth certificate?  Such a simple question - so easy to answer.

In the last month the Obama administration has basically said they'll...

track all cell phones, log all website visits, read all emails, use terrorist detainee tactics against US citizens

I am sure those huge marches and demonstrations are coming, gotta be just a matter of time, right??
