Leftists seem to have no concept of the after-effects of their actions. This isn't even really about Trump to those opposed to the leftist ideological agenda, like myself. The more the left pushes, the less citizens will trust the very gov't and process the left will need to complete their desires. It's as if they believe they can have their cake and eat it too. More and more people already distrust the gov't, the media, politicians (especially leftist politicians), etc... Trying to jail Trump would further divide the country, making what the left wants to do even less likely to happen.
