I can't wait to try this.  I'm tired of deleting stuff. :rant:

I didn't look at the link but we hooked up a 2T hard drive with its own power source, and it works great

It's pretty simple.  Any external HD with a SATA port can be connected to the receiver to expand storage space.  The receiver is auto-configuring... all you have to do is plug in the extra drive.
