"...the fringe crazy people on BOTH sides need to get out of the way..."

So sayeth, Dr.Nancy..

I know that the Birthers & Death Panel folks are the right aide of crazy, but Dear Dr. Nancy,pray-tell, who are the "crazies of the other side of your "both sides"?

are the crazies:

single payer folks?
universal care folks?
union folks?
people without guns at town hall meetings?
just plain folks who don't scream at the tops of their lungs every time a legislator is within eyesight?

Just tossing out (in the name of fair&balanced) terminology like "crazies on both sides", lessens the fact that the CRAZIES are on ONE side..and we all know which side that is..

Wanting health care that every other civilized country already has, and HAS had for DECADES, does not make one a "crazy".

So sayeth the silly primitive.

It's only a small bonfire, full of the usual primitive fantasies and lies:

4. Maybe the ones who think single-payer will be 'free'?

There ain't no such thing as a free lunch. (TANSTAAFL)

We'll all pay for whatever reform comes to pass, in one way or another. I just hope we'll be paying less for healthcare than we are now.

Dream on.

8. I pay 250 a month for meds

If the 250 included an occasional doctor visit, emergency care, and meds, I'd be a lot happier, but right now the plan is "Don't get sick."

11. War is free, but healthcare isn't?

It's our money.

We should decide how it's spent.

Well, yeah.  franksolich doesn't think our money should be spent on abortions.

14. The whole "free" thing has been a strawman from day one.

NOTHING is free. We have all heard how Canadians, British people, German people, etc. "pay nothing when they go to the doctor".. They are NOT saying it was FREE...just that they pay nothing at the point of service, because we are taxed along the way, in the form of "pre-payment" for services needed at a future time.

That's not the same as "free".

Which has done more damage to us than bin Ladin ever could.

20. I just don't understand why ANYONE would be against just paying a higher tax, and then resting assured that whenever you get sick, you get care.. How "scary" is that?

and what many simpletons don;t realize, is that if their medical care were financed through taxes, they would not HAVE to pay insurance premiums or have it deducted from their paycheck, in addition to the higher tax.. the money they are paying NOW would go to pay part (most?) of the tax...

and any pay raise would go to THEM, not to offset a rise in insurance premium..

I swear, a 10 yr old could understand it..

Sayeth the silly primitive.

12. Well, we do have a few of them out there from animal rights groups who release lab animals to starve on the street to activists who burn down condos being constructed in wilderness areas. Their crimes are against property instead of people, but we've got 'em.

The real danger to this country or any country is the far right, though. Every single failed democracy has been toppled by the far right. There are no historical exceptions.

I'm keeping an eye on Chavez, though. He might be the first if he doesn't watch it.

?

It's a good think the unfrocked warped primitive went into nursing, instead of into teaching history.

Of course, it's a bad thing the defrocked warped primitive went into nursing, too, causing her to mistake a patient's controlled substances to be for her.

16. Nope, you have to look real hard to find left wing health care crazies.

I've never seen any of them, in fact, unless she's moaning about people who want single payer.

I mean, think of the horror of all those people holding suddenly worthless health insurance stock! There will be blood in the streets!

5. LaRouche & his ilk are not really even "left"

Aren't they just run-of-the-mill libertarians who don't like ANY government? That does not make them "left", it makes them selfish, childish wannabee anarchists.

I don;t see any left leaning organization , at all embracing anything they favor.

19. in the public perception, they're left-libertarians.

i admit that i'm not that up on where their philosophy falls in the political spectrum; i'm afraid they're a cult that i'd get brainwashed by if i got too close!

but the graphics are not ****ing helping this debate. they're absurd, and as you said, childish.

10. It's just the 'they're all the same' argument

As soon as you say something they can't argue away that's what they fall back on. Both sides are ths same. They're all alike.

It's a sure way to tell you've just scored points.

17. False balance.

Uninformed or even just underinformed people will cling to the idea that 'both sides are the same' no matter what the evidence actually shows.

I have lost respect for many an educated person due to their habit of trying to appear balanced, despite reality.

Any pay raise the money would go to the additional taxes placed on us.
This primitive is running on the assumption that govt financed health care will come cheap. When in fact it won't when has the govt ever done anything that was even close to what they set in the budget? Every damn program from clunkers to cash to SSI has fallen short on funds needed.

We do not mistrust the govt for the fun of it, the govt has a track record of screwing up every social program every tried.
If the govt was so good in the healthcare business why is Medicaid and Medicare going broke?
Why is SS going broke?
That's right because Washington DC runs the show.

I may not lock my doors while sitting at a red light and a black man is near, but I sure as hell grab on tight to my wallet when any democrats are close by.
