Saddam's Government and Terrorism

A foavorite talking point of liberals is that Bush was wrong to prosecute the GWoT because the 9/11 hijackers didn't hail from Iraq. While true it misses the larger point that the GWoT is not solely about avenging 9/11 but killing terrorists and destroying the regimes that support them.

So was Iraq free of this crime? This 1999 report says, "guilty."

That was an urban legend fabricated by the left and blamed on us.  And it's continued to live in leftists cabals ever since.

Did Iraq sponsor terrorism?  It most certainly did.

Did Saddam allow al-Qaeda cells to move and operate freely inside Iraq's borders?  Yes.

But nothing has ever been proven linking Saddam or the Iraqi Government to the 9/11 attacks.

     The left, claimed the right said,  Saddam Hussein was responsible for 9/11 so many times it became the gospel to them.  To this day I don't know of any conservative that directly linked Saddam Hussein to 9/11.     Fat-Ass Mikey Moore did a sloppy, cut, splice and paste of a Condoleeza Rice quote in Farenheit 911 and a lot of the gullible idiots that wasted $10. on that piece of trash propoganda film believed it.
