TONY ABBOTT HAS BECOME a man who has become notorious on the issue of climate change, the science of which he once dismissed as ‘absolute crap’. His extreme views is what has lead to the closure of the Climate Commission, which was established by the previous Labor Government to provide the public with reliable information about global warming.

It is believed that the new Environment Minister Greg Hunt made a phone call to the chief climate commissioner, Tim Flannery at 10am on Thursday to let him know that the body was being shut down.

But there’s another obstacle for Tony Abbott to overcome yet and that’s the Clean Energy Finance Corporation. It’s essentially a $10 billion bank to help fund clean energy in Australia. The Coalition has dubbed it as a ‘giant green hedge fund’ and have vowed to shut it down. ...
