Easy to use; just punch in the model or the part number.

Our clothes dryer stopped producing heat a few weeks ago. The wife was telling me we have to buy a new one but after a quick Google search I discovered that a bad $10 thermal fuse is often the cause for no heat. I found the item on Amazon and fixed it in 5 minutes

Given your pyrotechnic aptitude, it doesn't surprise me that you were comfortable doing that. :-)
If only I could find a reliable locksmith to repair or replace an exterior swinging patio door properly. Tried to repair it myself to no avail and had a "locksmith specialist" repair it. And it broke a week later and he won't return my calls just to replace the whole lock.
It isn't a big deal in the big enchilada of life as I have a way to secure it very inconveniently, but it would ease a burden on my mind. Especially before winter.

While the Youtube/Google owners are fascists that only Mussolini could love, there is no doubt that YT is a gold mine of information (and a fair amount of garbage) on fixing stuff.
Repaired a boatload of stuff on my house using YT as a resource - electrical, brick work, plumbing, dry wall repair.

Absolutely true. The times I've done that have been incredibly effective. I've even found it quite resourceful for small little tech issues for my computer and TV work-arounds.

Done a lot of work on my van using YT, including replacing the window guide, as well as found out stuff about some appliances we have/have had over the years.
