Nad was definitely on my radar screen. She usually had a lot of campfires going from her thread starters, and yet was ubiquitous in her presence on other threads. She was my number one pick, so I'm happy that she did so well! (Actually, I'm more happy that a consensus agrees with me, but that's a minor point).

Oh now, I'm sure everybody's going to be happy, if not orgiastically blissful, with the winner of the "Rob" and the winner of top primitivity.

They ain't nobodies, neither of them.

Will there be a press release as Nads is an esteemed journalist with press credentials and everything?   Surely her readers would want to know that while she didn't come in first, she made one heck of an effort and should be honored for such anyway.

I'm compelled to repeat.

The voting was flawless, and because there were so many damned ties, counted three times.  Each tie demanded two or more awards be written, and I wanted to avoid that, but alas I didn't.

The totals were checked and verified by another member here as being correct and true.

The public votes, on the voting thread, can be vertified by anybody, including lurkers.

There were nine ballots cast by e-mail, which changed nothing about the top three primitives at all.  In fact, the only spot the e-mail ballots influenced was 9th place, in which the avian primitive avoided being part of a four-way tie with the three already tied in 10th place.

NO! NO! NO! NO! I DEMAND A RECOUNT! She's been jobed! She's been hossed! She's been disenfrenchfried! The BULLIES are behind this, I tell you! I'm going to get my riffle and the good rig and go hop on the trolly and go dylsexic! This is the typing point! The Rubio has been crossed! I'm going to the GA and we're going to OCUPPY CC!! Oh, and frank--welcome to the iggy list.

Nadin, you will always be #1 in my book, sweetcakes.

We did have some registered DUmmies cast a vote. It's a strong probability that they voted more than once.

I'll let him reveal himself if he so wishes.

And no, it wasn't Mr. Wiggum, so leave my good pal Ralph alone.

I hope that "he" does chime in to certify.

As I go through the results that I have access to I am begining to find fault.

I'm just saying, I have felt that you have had your favorites and have expressed disapointment when that favorite faulters.

Congrats to nadinbrzezinski!!! Number two is not bad. It ain't number one nads... you gotta try harder in 2013. Perhaps more riffle threads.

Now for your prize:

We are giving you a book. "The 10,001 Jobs Nadin has Held Over the Years". It is hoped that this will jog your memory in 2013 as the resident expert of... well everything...at DU.  Perhaps it will give you the boost you need to get you into the number one slot next year.

Again nadin, congrats! Let's give her a round of applause!

I already had that thought, Ballygrl. You and I must be channeling.

Yep, this thing is going public. As a journalist, I am obfuscated to get to the bottom of this.

No recounts! Florida was enough! :lmao:

Not all votes were public. Some were PM'd. Also there is a sister site that partakes in the election process.

All I'm asking is the this other member, that had access to all the votes, chime in and either certify the vote or not.

I don't think that's too much to ask.

I think Frank is a great guy, the best guy you'd like to meet, but I'd still like to hear from this other member.

Absurd result.

There's no remaining candidate that doesn't make this year's DOTY a travesty.

I have no doubt the votes were counted honestly.

Suffice it to say, they just weren't cast intelligently.

Unless this secret vote counter outs himself and confirms the vote, I'm going to have problems.

You know, she could easily have won the top spot, but really, she didn't do anything remarkably different than she did last year. She still mangles the English language, has expertise in using google to further her pretend career(s) and she thinks she's a journalist. The thing is, I honestly think she believes the crap she spews...maybe it's a kind of senility where she makes shit up and thinks she's actually done it. Google Illusion Syndrome or something.

Quite frankly I am a little annoyed that frank would choose this moment to bail off the internets.

Come on Frank, send a PM to this secret voter and lets end this controversy.

I want to know how many people here voted for their own moles which skewed the results for Nads - the clear winner.

Look at the exit pols for gosh darn sake.   She had this in a landslide.   Something is amiss.

She should be tossed aside as her heyday has passed. Sure, she's not dealing with a full deck- whatever. She's old, crunchy, plus there are far more primitives that had previously been posting seldomly that now are starting real fires at the DUmp.

DUmp lurkers have become emboldened by the re-annointment of the magic one, yet still angry he hasn't transformed the country into a socialist utopia. Most of the long dormant DUmmies have post counts that indicate they joined the island many years ago, yet they laid in wait- flying under the radar. Most never liked the magic one to begin with- hoping back in 2008 to see another chapter of some washed-up liberal family like the trash from Arkansas.

These reinvigorated primitives are the ones I think will be most entertaining not only in the following year, but for several years to come.

Coach may have stopped PayPal from disbursing $50K for the red round sodomite's lifesaving surgery.

Coach may have travelled to the Pacific Northwest to finish the job.

Coach may have been lurking behind trees in Mrs. Alfred Packer's Oklahoma backyard before her mysterious disappearance.

And coach may have changed the labels on Deadstone's pharmaceuticals.

But coach didn't rig this year's ludicrous DOTY outcome.

Dumb votes produce a dumb winner.

Anybody can resolve this matter--yes, even primitive lurkers.

It's all transparent.

Go to this link:

http://www.conservativecave.com/index.php/topic,81359.0.html

And then page-by-page-by-page, carefully tally up the individual votes, to discern if there's something wrong.

And do it three times, not just once.

But one should be cautioned it'll take a very long time.
