14. The high mark of excellence here

I was nominated for a DUmmy.

Sadly, and I mean that in all sincerity, for  DUchebag it is.

BTW It's a DOTY. One needs to be a DUmmy to be eligible.
When you are the beneficiary of someone’s kindness and generosity, it produces a sense of gratitude and community.

When you are the beneficiary of a policy that steals from someone and gives it to you in return for your vote, it produces a sense of entitlement and dependency.

But now there goes my #3 (Sid) and #4 (Cryano), not even in the Top 20!

You know of course, the Will of the People reigns supreme.

But I was really upset when grouchy old Don made it to only #11 top primitive, and that Cryano never made it into the top twenty anywhere.

I can't tell you how upset I was, about that.

I found myself chewing on the ceiling in anger and vexation.

But now some days later, upon reflection, I guess the 2011 races couldn't have possibly turned out any other way.

Congratulations on capturing #3, fat ass.

ETA:  Great picture, Frank, what kind of phone did you take it with?

:lmao:

I wouldn't have gotten too close to Grizzly Adams, either.  He looks like he'd dent the floor if he fell.

I have no idea what kind of cellular telephone it was; the friend's one of these "always has to have the newest, latest, state-of-the-artest" things, and gave me a quick thirty-second lesson on how to operate the damned thing.

As you might suspect, I'm an inveterate foe of telephones.

I'm in turn curious about something else.

I have no idea what waterworks all involves, but have a faint idea that sometimes, once in a while, it might involve pulling up a man-hole cover in the street and going down into those depths.

Seeing Omaha's Ed Norton in person, it seemed to me his own circumference exceeds that of a man-hole.

One wonders how he does it, squeezes himself through.

That's one of my very favorite photos, the one at Tess's link.  Steve hugging Cindy Sheehan, weeping.  Cindy with her arms straight down, pulling somewhat back.  Definitely not engaged in the hug.  And he posted this himself!  This spot was well-deserved.  One of my votes.

I'm astonished that Cryano didn't place.  I think people burned out on his constant hysteria and just steered clear of everything about him.  Exhaustion, that's all.

Well, I'm sure that for 2012, voters will give Cryano more consideration than he's gotten in the past.

Not for top primitive of 2012--that'll probably go to an 0bamaite primitive--but at least in the top ten so I can write about him.

He's long overdue for recognition; years overdue.

Since my fellow Nebraskan no longer needs franksolich's help in maintaining a strong presence for 2012, I've quit worrying about him, and named myself campaign manager for both the grouchy old primitive Don and Cryano; I'm sure they'll appreciate my efforts for them.

Poor Obamaha Steve will just have to live with his first election loss.
The first of many, I'm quite sure.

At least tavernturd is still in the running.
No to Nads. Someone who so actively campaigns and panders to the Cave, shouldn't
even be in the running.  She's a dishonest, spiteful wench that only deserves the Willy.

For next years Sequined Kewpie award, Obamanaut is my pick.
MM does well, but, he doesn't skewer the Nads quite as well as Obamanaut.

Dear friends,

I wish I had something better to tell you all today. I did not win the executive board election to be the next Vice President of my local union. I feel I was by far the most qualified candidate. Apparently that didn't matter. I'm taking some time away from labor, politics, and the DU. I don't know how long it will take to recharge my batteries.

Understand I have always loved the DU and pretty much being the person that speaks for labor on the DU. This just hurts so much.

It wasn't a matter of right or wrong, just a reminder.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for Weepy's run at the City Council seat in Bellvue NE. I've yet to see anybody finish third in a two man race. This November may be that chance. And with Weepy's propencity to sob at the drop of a hat, his future failure may have enough runoff to raise the Missouri River an inch or two.

He has been a bit quiet lately.
Probably sleeps with one eye open.
He knows what's in the archives, and lives in terror of they're eventual release.
Would it be safe to say, this is his first, third place finish, before the next. :-)

The Weeper cries way to much to ever be able to write down anything on a piece of paper.  The paper would get too soggy, too fast.

A lot of talk.....

I thought, from the start, that's all it'd amount to, talk.

If Omaha Steve had been serious about running for public office, he would've immediately left Skins's island, so as to put some distance between him and the extreme far-left crazies; if he'd done that, he could've filed, and no one, but no one, would've ever connected the real life Omaha Steve with the Skins's island primitive.

But because he persists in hanging around Skins's island with the primitives, shooting off his mouth, one suspects he really would rather hang around Skins's island than run for public office.

He could do one thing or the other thing, but not both.

With all of the talk about Omaha's Ed Norton's campaign, let's not forget his wife's campaign. She's a DUmmy by injection and deserves all of the exposure that Steve gets.

According to this campfire, spouses are fair game.

The left started the attacks on wives.  This never use to be a problem until they started attacking Nancy Reagan years ago.  I think it was her anti-drug campaign that rile most on the left.  They love their drugs.

Agreed.  Especially for a city council seat.

My prediction:   if Steve does file nomination paperwork it will place the DU on the map in a way that Rush and others may even pick it up.    The Willie award for 2012 will be locked up, so much so that if OS did not win it I would have to agree with him that he was robbed of it.

I see it as no different as Steve interfering in WI politics.

They erased all election boundaries.

One thing to remember in informing the people of Bellevue about this currently unemployable candidate for city council is that their council races are apparently "non-partisan".

Of course that's the same as being "non-beathing" or "non-existant", but there's a small learning-impaired segment of the population that still believes a political situation can be non-partisan. It's mainly those imbeciles who call themselves "independent", because they have no beliefs or philosophy.

Anyway, it's a convenient way for a democrat to hide his affiliation in a city largely populated by civilized, decent people.

Unless they are helped, a lot of Bellevue voters won't know the Weeper is a democrat, let alone someone who has "always supported socialism".

There is nothing to stop someone from bringing it  to the attention any media outlet. Rush,Sean,Mark Levin and Neal Boortz have all mentioned DU from time to time and it would be certain that OmahaSteves Campain could be mentioned on at least one of the shows. What DU itself would think of the exposure is another matter.

The vast majority of Nebraskans, outside the campus area in Lincoln and taxpayer-provided housing in Omaha, are decent and civilized people.

The only practical effect of leaving party affiliation off the ballot in Bellevue would be to disguise a democrat candidate who would otherwise have no chance of winning.
