#05 Top DUmmie of 2011 (Stinky the Clown)
« on: December 28, 2011, 07:03:08 PM »
One can almost hear the wailings and lamentations of decent and civilized people, with the announcement that Stinky the Clown has been awarded #05 Top DUmmie of 2011; he doesn’t have many friends over here, and to be honest, many consider him an old bore.

I beg to differ, but whatever.

The generalissimo dude was also #14 top primitive in 2006, #02 top primitive in 2008, #05 top primitive in 2009, and a landslide #02 top primitive in 2010, after which many hoped they’d never see him again.

I beg to differ, but whatever.

The generalissimo dude’s learned one of the secrets to gaining top primitivity, that of actually visiting the DUmpster often, and “shouting out,” either overtly or covertly, or in a sidewise manner (such as his complaints to Skins this past year), to us from Skins’s island.

Remember, mention of the DUmpster is forbidden on Skins’s island, and so that’s difficult to do—and so kudos to Stinky the Clown for that.

The generalissimo dude’s background and business was fully explained in his award last year:

http://www.conservativecave.com/index.php/topic,53305.0.html

The only new information one can offer this year is that he’s tall, but somewhat bulging in the middle with a paunch, thinning hair, and has psoriasis or somesuch thing on his elbows.

Stinky the Clown parroted the usual and customary primitive talking-points all year long, no deviation from the standard party line, and so there was nothing especially remarkable about that.

What made the generalissimo dude remarkable in 2011 were things such as:

Anthropology

Did you know that we in C&B are considered by some to be primitives and the subject of anthropological research? Did you know that we've been categorized as representative of the left and therefore representative of what makes people hold left values?

Did you know that some very lonely little people have too much time on their hands?

There was another episode of one of our members having a thread locked for . . . .

. . . . . nothing more than defending himself from an attack by some lowlife mother****ers who live to piss off DUers.

A word to them first, if I may: Being deaf is no excuse for being a lowlife ****ing asshole. The two conditions are unrelated.

Many of us here have been harassed by these ****wads. Mac is but the latest "primitive" to be cut off at the knees when trying to go back at these MOTHER****ERS.

If you're going to persist in allowing them to do what they do but prevent us from saying what we wish, why not at least try to get rid of their local alter egos? We can all be grownups and ignore them over in their cave or not as we choose, but you could do your part and smoke out their trolls. You know they exist. They brag about them. You guys have slammed a few DUers on outta here. How about smoking out the roaches from beneath the floorboards? That might make activity such as the recent thread lockings, one by EarlG himself, more tolerable.

1. Allow me to explain.

As far as I know, there at least a half-dozen discussion forums on the Internet which are exclusively dedicated to whining about Democratic Underground and our members. Why is that? It's because DU is the best liberal discussion forum on the Internet, period.

They post their pathetic, trolly, BS over on those other websites in the hopes that they might get a hit over here on the real website. Maybe, just maybe, someone over on DU will read their lies and get upset about it and maybe even cause a ruckus over on DU.

Let me be clear: I like DUers and I don't like it when any member of this website feels like they have been disrespected -- here or elsewhere. I understand that it does not feel good.

But getting all worked up about it and getting into a board war is EXACTLY WHAT THEY WANT. They want DUers to get angry, and they thrive on the attention. It raises them up, and it lowers DU to their level.

The worst thing that can possibly happen to any of these people is to be ignored. It's sad enough to spend your days on a website dedicated to whining about another website; even more so if you know the people on the other website aren't even paying attention.

6. That's hardly an answer . . . apart from being pro forma.

I have no access to IP addresses or the records of referring web sites, or any of the other hard evidence that one might be what others suspect them to be. You, on the other hand, do.

My evidence is "what I read on the Internets," which you already brushed aside.

See, here's another thing. I read on the very same Internets that they have even infiltrated your moderators. I know that I'm not the only one to raise that issue. I have seen it mentioned it here on DU, even though, right now, I am unable to find the thread. Maybe it got nuked.

Then there's the matter of sock puppets and zombies. Were I to get banned, I will bet nearly anything that I would be found out damned fast, just due to my style. A lot of banned posters have styles, too. For all but the most studied imposter (and I am certain there are many such wankers) we can mask our personality just so long, even on the Internets. Some people who spend a great deal of time on this site have identified the sock puppets for who they are, but even with that, none of it is "evidence" and, were I a mod, there's no way I would burn an accused sock without real, hard proof. An alert from an ordinary member like me is not proof.

IP addresses *are* reasonably good proof. Consistent referring site data is good circumstantial proof, but less reliable than IP addresses.

Unless no one is checking.

This is where the generalissimo dude got his current title:

This discussion thread was locked by Stinky The Clown (a host of the Soapbox forum) on Tue Dec 6, 2011, 07:17 PM. It was locked for the following reason:

This discussion thread violates the Statement of Purpose for the Soapbox forum. (Statement of Purpose: Share your thoughts on politics, issues, and current events. No posts about Israel/Palestine, religion, guns, showbiz, or sports unless there is really big news. No conspiracy theories. No whining about DU.)

It is closed to new replies. The only person who can unlock this thread is the host who locked it. The author of this post may petition Stinky The Clown directly to appeal the lock.

Very unfortunately, I can’t find the campfire where the generalissimo dude whined about usage of the term “dude;” that was a classic, but it seems to be buried out of my sight.

Wow.
I thought stinkdude would place a bit higher on the ladder.
Then-Chief Justice John Marshall observed, “Between a balanced republic and a democracy, the difference is like that between order and chaos.”

John Adams warned in a letter, “Remember democracy never lasts long. It soon wastes, exhausts, and murders itself. There never was a democracy yet, that did not commit suicide.”

As mentioned in the award, the generalissimo dude knows the secret to winning top primitivity.

Remember when he was using your avatar on his signature line on Skins's island?

And then he got on thundley4's case about his signature-line comment here.

I'm too tired to put it into Italiano, but there's my benediction for the generalissimo dude: may your rectal aperture seal up, and may you for the rest of your life be denied the relief that comes from emptying the bowels.

It sounds more ominous in Italiano, though.

Yeah, use more curse words, insult the mods more and put more rubber in the bounces....and remember, "If at first you don't succeed, quit."

I remember Stinks whining in the Ask the Admins section.  A grown man crying to another grown man about some perceived minor injustice.  The 2nd man can't do anything about it.  It was cringe-worthy.

I remember his developing a crush on Ballygrl; called her "cigarette girl" even though it says "lipstick renegade" under the avatar.

I remember he gave me a small shout-out once.  Trying to be clever, he said "I'm not much Karin for what I'm reading over there."  Lame, but thanks anyway.

Speaking of lame, remember when his sig said "The Frankie Wanker was the Citrus Mambo."  This meant that he thought that Frank was Tangarine LaBamba.  Again, stupid and cringe-worthy.

Congratulations from the "failed car company."

It's a real shame that you let four other DUmmies pass you by on the way to the top.

I think his highwater mark in recent times was the "Unrec rage," which as I recall was too long ago to count for the current year.  His all-time highlight was back in the Hubby2Sparklie days when he worked himself into a heart attack talking smack about going all 'Smash-mouth' on the Republicans like he was a real street-fightin' man instead of an aging slumlord.

I think it mentioned the cave.

This illustrates one of my grave concerns.

Usually when a primitive shouts out to us from Skins's island, the campfire's up only a few minutes.

If anyone ever sees a "shout out" to us, waste no time, and bring it over here right away.

I'm sure we miss more than half of the shout-outs.

DON'T worry if someone else might've spotted it and brought it over, and that it would be a duplicate thread.

We can deal with duplicate threads, no problems.

Even five or six of them at the same time.

Just get it over here, and we'll deal with.
