or demeaning...at least in my mind. The US destroyed many religious statues and icons when we bomb places. In fact, we destroy some of Christianity's statues. Oh, thanks for reminding of this, though.

I wonder what it's like going through life disassociated from actual reality, and living in a fantasy world of one's own making which is then reinforced by like-minded individuals whose world-view is so myopic as to be mostly blind.

Seems that a firm belief in some sort of deity to make things all better for them is one criteria, so magical thinking is definitely involved on a fairly high level.

To profess hatred of a caricature of another human being whose evil persona was invented in one's own mind is quite telling, indeed.
