I did not want to ask for help, but my almost 75 year-old widowed mom and I are facing extra expenses we can’t afford and are in trouble as a result. Payment to the trustee in a court case allowing my mom and I to stay in our house came due and we are short. Dismissal of the case would be a very bad thing. I am asking for $100 to give my mom and me peace of mind. I still do not have a steady income and my mom just lives on her Social Security. Thank you very much.

The World Is Paying A Deadly Price For Barack Obama’s Foreign Policy Legacy

If a belligerent state launched 186 explosive drones, 36 cruise missiles, and 110 surface-to-surface missiles from three fronts against civilian targets within the United States, would Joe Biden call it a “win”?

Would the president tell us that the best thing we can do now is show “restraint”? What if that same terror state’s proxy armies had recently helped murder, rape, and kidnap more than 1,000 American men, women, and children? What if this terror state were trying to obtain nuclear weapons so it could continue to agitate without any consequences?

This is what Joe Biden and the Barack Obama acolytes, Iranian dupes, and Israel antagonists he’s surrounded himself with demand of Jewish State.

And by “Iranian dupes,” I don’t only mean the Jake Sullivans and Antony Blinkens of the world, who worked to elevate the mullahs over Sunni allies and the Israelis, or even a Hamas-bestie like Rob Malley or Israel-hater like Maher Bitar. I mean assets of the Islamic State who promised the Iranian government to help out in any way possible.

Their worldview is a cancer that’s metastasized within the Democratic Party. To these people, Israel will always be the villain. And if the Iranian regime’s murder of more than 600 American servicemen couldn’t cool that bromance, 1,300 dead Jews certainly aren’t going to do the trick.

President Barack Obama and Joe Biden have done a lot harm to the world with their foreign policy.

I answered that I was a defense attorney and I didn't entirely trust police to accurately record what actually happened.

I also put down that I was a devotee of MSNBC and regularly viewed Rachel Maddow, Chris Hayes, Joy Reed, etc. For radio, I listened to WBAI, an independent franchise of Pacifica Radio. I listed one program on it, "On The Count," which is devoted to the rights of convicted inmates.

In other words, that self-promoting putz is more of an elitist DUer than lesser elitist Duers are.

Supercharged Spying Provision Buried In "Terrifying" FISA 702 Reauthorization

On Monday, the House finalized procedural business on a bill to reauthorize the nation's warrantless surveillance powers under the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA), which Sen. Ron Wyden (D-OR) called "one of the most dramatic and terrifying expansions of government surveillance authority in history."

"I will do everything in my power to stop it from passing in the Senate," said Wyden in a Friday post to X.

The U.S. House is expected to vote Friday on a two-year extension of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act, commonly known as FISA. This transcript has been edited for length and reprinted with permission from Tucker Carlson.

A few years ago, we learned conclusively that, in fact, the FBI and the federal intel agencies—the dozen or more federal intel agencies we have, for some reason—had been working secretly against Donald Trump’s presidential campaign.

Trump had whispered about this, then shouted about it, was roundly denounced as a conspiracy nut, a lunatic. But in the end, he was vindicated. It was true.

These agencies spied on Trump, and they leaked some of what they learned to the media, which used it against Trump. Then these agencies concocted false stories about Trump. They tried to crush Trump completely in 2016 and then for the entire course of his presidency. Then they did the same thing in 2020 during the presidential election.

And they’re doing it still. They’re trying to put him in prison for the rest of his life. So if we take three steps back, what you have here is what we’re seeing now.

FISA is riffed with abuse.

Economics / Beige Book Reveals Economy In Far Worse Shape Than White House Claims

Beige Book Reveals Economy In Far Worse Shape Than White House Claims
https://www.zerohedge.com/economics/beige-book-reveals-economy-far-worse-shape-white-house-claims

Quote
There was something odd about the latest Beige book (which was prepared based on information collected on or before April 8, 2024, so before the latest CPI print): if accurate, it would suggest that the rosy economic picture painted by the White House is woefully incorrect, whether on purpose or not (spoiler alert: it is on purpose).

Reading the Beige Book, we find that contrary to the official GDP print which claims the economy is cruising at a brisk 3%, ten out of twelve Districts experienced "either slight or modest" economic growth, while the other two reported no changes in activity.

What is more concerning for the economy where spending amounts for 70% of all economic growth, the Beige Book found that consumer spending "barely increased" overall, but reports were quite mixed across Districts and spending categories:

-Several reports mentioned weakness in discretionary spending, as consumers' price sensitivity remained elevated.
-Auto spending was buoyed notably in some Districts by improved inventories and dealer incentives, but sales remained sluggish in other Districts.
-Tourism activity increased modestly, on average, which is odd considering the recent Conference Board survey found a record number of people planned on traveling abroad. Almost as if they lied...
-Manufacturing activity declined slightly, as only three Districts reported growth in that sector.
-Contacts reported slight increases in nonfinancial services activity, on average, and bank lending was roughly flat overall.
-Residential construction increased a little, on average, and home sales strengthened in most Districts. In contrast, nonresidential construction was flat, and commercial real estate leasing fell slightly.
-The economic outlook among contacts was cautiously optimistic, on balance.

Here is the Beige Book.

The economy is in a sorry state.

For those unaware, college women's basketball mega-star Caitlin Clark set modern scoring records in collegiate women's basketball while leading her Iowa Hawkeyes to two consecutive Final Four appearances. She turned professional and was drafted first in this year's WNBA draft. Meanwhile, the whining leftist media is pissing and complaining that she's not earning enough money!!!

Examples? Yes, I have a few:

Caitlin Clark isn't making a ton because the WNBA doesn't make a ton

The NBA brought in $10 billion in revenue in 2022. The WNBA brought in $60 million that same year.

Average attendance for a WNBA game that year? Just over 6k. (Again, too high).

Average viewership? A shade over 400k.

Point is, there is no pay gap. That's a fancy buzzword the wokes and our president like to use to sound smart and progressive and hip.

There's an interest gap. That's the gap. And it's mammoth.

And speaking of "lunchbucket Joe":

Biden Denounces Caitlin Clark's WNBA Contract, Accidentally Caricatures Democrat Party Tenets

Like clockwork, Joe Biden has jumped on the bandwagon of those criticizing Caitlin Clark's rookie WNBA contract. Also like clockwork, Biden used the same worn-out Democrat Party talking points we've heard for decades as the basis of his predictably hollow argument.

Let's first revisit Clark's contract.

As we reported on Tuesday, under the 2024 WNBA rookie scale for the No. 1-4 draft picks, the league's top pick will earn a base salary of $76,535 in her first year, $78,066 the second year and $85,873 the third, with a fourth-year option of $97,582. The predictable harpies were aghast — and most had no idea what they were harping about.

Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Russell Wilson was among them.

The National Basketball Association (NBA) recorded total revenue of $10.58 billion in 2023, an increase of $500 million over 2022. In contrast, the WNBA was projected to bring in between $180 million and $200 million in league revenue in 2023. The league started play in 1997 and has yet to turn a profit.

Moreover, in the 2023 season, WNBA average attendance was 6,615 fans per game, while NBA average attendance was 18,324 this past season, and 71 percent of the games were sellouts.

In the Democrat mind, the above is immaterial, although valid analogies abound.

If company "A " is thriving and company "B" is barely hanging on, should company "B" employees be paid the same amount as company "A" employees? If one movie is a blockbuster and another one flops, should the profits from the blockbuster be shared with the flop? Should the top salesman at a car dealership share his commissions with the bottom salesman? Again, the analogies are endless.

In the Democrat mind, facts don't don't matter.

One more:

Congressman Ro Khanna Gets SCHOOLED on the 'Basic Economics' of Caitlin Clark's WNBA Contract

California representative, Ro Khanna, received a much-needed education on basic economics from Twitter/X users.

It all started when Khanna complained about the size of the WNBA contract for rookie women's basketball phenom, Caitlin Clark.

Quote
The first pick in the NBA draft will make around $10 million in one year.

Caitlin Clark will make $76,535.

That is wrong. Pay women what they deserve.

According to the congressman, it is 'wrong' for Clark to make significantly less money than men in the NBA make.

It didn't take long for people to shatter his argument.

The first one that got Khanna's attention addressed the elephant in the room: The WNBA does not have a large fan base.

Quote
One doesn't need to watch WNBA games to speak about pay fairness. Clark will bring new fans and likely juice WNBA ratings. She should be compensated for the expected ratings increase she will bring. NBA players like Bird, Jordan, Johnson did the same. Isn't this basic economics?

You stepped in that one, Ro. If the congressman was a huge WNBA fan, he could easily shut the question down by detailing his monetary support for the league.

Instead, it became painfully obvious that Khanna was running his mouth about something he knew nothing about.

LOL! He just admitted he doesn't even watch, but he thinks WNBA salaries should be set based on hope.

'Isn't this basic economics?'

NO

He's moved on from GFM to PayPal? GFM must have a tolerance limit for leeching.

I'm not positive about this, but poo-pants Pam reported him to go-fund. i suspect he may have been banned from there because shortly after, he started the paypal gig
