Hi, I never really introduced myself, I work with Rebel. I probably lean more towards the libertarian side of the house. My views are socially conservative, but I am tired of politics being bogged down with social issues. Focus on the real issues at hand; Economy, Debt, Taxes, National Security. Fix those things and Let local communities fix social issues.
-
Welcome.

Welcome.
Fix those things and Let local communities fix social issues.
Wonderful idea, but far from attainable as long as the liberals/democrats/communists/satan's minions are allowed to remain a national force.
-
That is unfortunately true...
-
Welcome back :)

Welcome, Hathcock.
Any relation to Carlos Hathcock? :whistling:
-
No, just honoring his memory, he was an impressive man!

There is always room for one more who is adept at practicing pointed, biting sarcasm.
Oh, before I forget.
Do you like peach cobbler?

Nothing opaque about the question.
It's all about peach cobbler. With ice cream. Whether or not Hath{insert body part here} likes it.
But I understand your point. Not enough for either a H5 or a bitchslap. But I may reconsider. :-)

I watch the military channel on an occasion and I like to watch sniper shows, one of the best ones in my opinion that I have seen was when they showed a documentary of sorts on Carlos Hathcock. He was a hell of a shot and one arrogant SOB...but hey if I could put lead down range like he did I would be too. The one kill that comes to mind is when he killed the Cobra. They have discussed that and analyzed the shot over and over and even had a myth busters show about it. Well the only witness to the through the scope shots were Carlos his spotter and the pierced eyeball. So I guess we either have to take his word or not cause all are dead now. Anywho sorry i'm late to the welcome party but....well welcome!

If you come across any books about him, they are better than any TV show. I think the one I read was Marine Sniper: 93 Confirmed Kills.

One of my old roommates that was in the Army and used to jump out of perfectly good flying machines for fun...well he was told to...anywho he used to tell me about the Hathcock books he read and yea that guy was a heluva marine (no offence to any other service) He taught a lot of our solders how to make the other SOB die for his country. :-)
-
I had a friend with a funny story about his first jump. I don't know if it was true or not, but he said he hit the side of the plane on the way down.
He wasn't happy about that.
-
Another great hero was Pat Tillman... Hell of a man!
-
Hmmm.... I sense a troll is among us. Never trust a man with Cock in his name. Never.

I think the one you're thinking of is grinning like a jackass eating briars, but yours is so much more memorable.

What's the last sound a pubic hair makes before it hits the floor? .... "patooey!" Seriously boys, (this is mainly for Hathcock), only hookers shaved back in the day. I am sorry if that grosses you baldi-philes out, but it's true. :p
-

I don't think it was ever in the "charts"
-
It made it to MTV, dammit. That shoulda been good enough.
'Pork Soda' wasn't the greatest album.

like many great bands Primus flew under the radar
-
I got to see them in concert once... they were pretty good, but they were opening for Megadeth. They knew they were outclassed.

Les Claypool is amazing! I played bass guitar in HS and he blew my mind

I'm a huge fan of Cliff Burton... genius. Too bad he got saddled with James Hetfield and Lars Ulrich.

It's that whole early-album curse. The Grateful Dead suffer from the same thing... they haven't written anything decent since 1972 (except maybe Terrapin Station).
-
Metallica is shit after Dave Mustaine had anything to do with them...as far a Primus goes they are the bomb and have been for years...sailing the seas of cheese was the first cd I bought.
edit hehe dont have anything to do with the intro but...LES CLAYPOOL ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't mean to derail this thread but every time I see the name Hathcock or Carlos, I think of Carlos Hathcock. Here lately I've thought of him a lot because of a little slimeball using the first name. :censored: :censored: :censored:

Carlos Hathcock was the real deal! He had the option to sit out hospital last mission yet took it anyway.
