Yes, this arrest is about the  usual level of corruption in Broward County which is quite high but it is also about much more such as the Parkland school shootings which could have been prevented under normal security measures which were entirely lacking in the Broward County school system.

The background to this is that Runcie lied under oath to the commission investigating the Parkland shooting, specifically, trying to conceal the lack of security measures Broward schools knew should be but weren't implemented.
