Character limit on posts?

Hopefully one of you gracious mods or admins can answer this relatively simple question for me.  Is there a character limit per post?  I'm compiling the Top 10 DUmmy list, and I would like to know if I need to chop it into sections when I post it.

I do believe it's 25,000, Mr. Wiggum, but Wretched Excess can confirm.

There used to be a limit of 20,000, until I complained.

Wretched Excess kindly expanded it.

I believe the character limit at our old home was 10,000.

As you might imagine, I oftentimes butt my head up against it.

For comparison, Mr. Wiggum, sir, you might wish to consult my thread in the DUmpster involving the giant primitive, the really fat primitive.

That is circa.....24,999 characters.

the character limit is 25K characters.  we have expanded it a couple of times because the limit was
insufficient to contain Mr. FrankSolitch. :-)

For which I'm very grateful.

But in all fairness, one can see that whereas this request was filled many months ago, today was the very first time I used it to my advantage, in that thread about the giant primitive.

Thanks for the info, Wretch.

I have last year's thread in Word, and it has over 30,000 characters.  This year's should be at least as long, probably even longer.

I'll just make sure to post it in two sections, which is not a problem at all.  I just wanted to know in advance.

It might be three parts, since Frank is working on some essays about our Top 10. :-)

It's fun to work on too.  However, I definitely feel the need to take a break from reading the DUmp for a while afterward.

I experienced something like the same thing, I suppose.  during the candidate wars, I posted as an edwards supporter.  I
quit when I noticed that he was beginning (in a very, very small way) to make sense. :-)

I immediately enrolled myself in deprogramming. :uhsure:
