Title: What happened to global warming?
Post by: BlueStateSaint on October 11, 2009, 08:10:29 AM
This showed up on Drudge this morning.  When the BBC is starting to get skeptical, the end is near.

Quote
What happened to global warming?

By Paul Hudson
Climate correspondent, BBC News

This headline may come as a bit of a surprise, so too might that fact that the warmest year recorded globally was not in 2008 or 2007, but in 1998.

But it is true. For the last 11 years we have not observed any increase in global temperatures.

And our climate models did not forecast it, even though man-made carbon dioxide, the gas thought to be responsible for warming our planet, has continued to rise.

So what on Earth is going on?

Climate change sceptics, who passionately and consistently argue that man's influence on our climate is overstated, say they saw it coming.

Also, some 200 protesters showed up to greet Al Gore at a meeting on global warming in Sheboygan WS yesterday, and when a reporter asked Gore about nine errors in his film, the microphone was "mysteriously" cut off . . .  :uhsure:

Chris, you're mistaken. The Goracle is not a god; he's a prophet (an oracle). Gaia is their goddess.

Ironically, the news never mentions "Global Warming" when they talk about the unseasonably cold weather and 2-4" of snow we're expecting on Monday.

They just call it "climate change", and tell us that with enough new taxes, they can "fix it".

To all the dirt worshippin', tree huggin', liberals out there:  When has the climate not changed?

They only got 13.8 inches, officially.  This breaks the record of 13.0 inches set in 1896.   :-)

My neighborhood has glowball warming. We've been in the low 90's for days and have been flirting with daily high records all week now. We're looking at a days in a row record I do believe tomorrow. Glowball warming is alive and well here, at least till the end of the month or so :-)

BTW that was a killer hurricane season this year wasn't it? All that warmth was going to make it a bad one.  ::)
