I suspect Pelosi's Washington barricades serve a dual purpose:
1. Keep the myth alive that MAGA people are dangerous fascist insurrectionists.
2. Prevent the BLM/Antifa peaceful protesters far away from Congress demanding their insane agenda be enacted.
Any thoughts on this?

my thoughts are why are the democrats insisting on the barricades in d.c. when for years they have been telling us that walls and fences don't work when referring to the southern border....

I'm going with #1 because the people in #2 are the ones they support. In fact the members of BLM and Antifa are the foot soldiers of the Democrat party.

It's all D.C. theater, and Pelousy would be a great actor if she weren't so damned predictable.
She's 81 years old and we've seen this rodeo before.
Pelousy wants to be relevant and be seen as someone who is "doing something" about the Bad Orange Man and his allies, and by spending untold millions of taxpayer money, this is what she came up with.
Make the U.S. Capitol look like the Baghdad green zone.
Nice job, Nancy. Now go back to your district and instead of getting your hair done, how about picking up the piles of human feces and the used syringes that have been discarded in your district like the Grandma you should be?
