Thoughts, predictions, etc.?

I'll kick this off and I'll take Joe Stevenson in the upset.

UFC 81 is tonight.

My Picks:

Noguiera over Sylvia
Lesnar over Mir
Marquardt over Horn
Yundt over Almeida

Two out of four isn't bad, I guess. The Lesnar result shocked me a bit. All Mir had the advantage in was submission and he used it to victory.

Didn't see the fights, but, wasn't it Lesnars first mma bout?

No, he fought, and won, against Min Soo Kim in K-1.

Here's a recap of his fight last night. Wonder if Kurt Angle will cross over?

I takes a while, "a while" meaning "years", to become capable enough to use ju-jitsu against opponents whom have been training in the discipline for as long as Mir has, even though, you are stronger and more agile than them.

I'll also take Werdum, Davis, Lambert, and Rivera <--(because I hope Kendall Grove gets his ass stomped)

who dominated penn at WW?

He lost to Matt Hughes, Georges St. Pierre and Lyoto Machida in the span of about 18 months. That is getting dominated.

I guess Matt Hughes in full-mount while delivering bombs to his skull isn't dominating? St. Pierre controlled his ass the whole fight too.

Oh, I guess "going up in weight" isn't the same as "welter-weight" even if K-1 weight classes aren't as heavy as UFC classes.  :whatever:

Let's argue about semantics a little more.

what happened in the first 2 rounds of the hughes fight before he got him in that crucifix?   It doesnt really matter, those fights are in the past.  He will probably go back up to WW after a while.  We will see if GSP can handle him this time.:)
