The Country Club Plaza area was awash with pepper spray Saturday night as police struggled to disperse a rowdy gathering of hundreds of young people.

At least one person was reported with a serious head injury about 11:20 p.m. in the parking lot outside Winstead’s restaurant.

It wasn’t immediately clear how the person was injured. The victim was taken to nearby St. Luke’s Hospital.

Several dozen police officers spent much of the evening attempting to disperse large crowds — totaling an estimated 500 to 1,000 people — that gathered at various spots in the shopping district. Police at times used pepper spray at multiple locations to break up disturbances.

A number of fights broke out during the evening, and at least one strong-arm robbery was reported about 10:15 p.m.

Scattered reports of property being damaged were received. Police also reported finding a knife on the ground after another disturbance was broken up.

So far the local radio has indicated that alcohol was not an issue.....this seems to be a migration of the "flash riots" that Philadelphia has been experiencing, and they are being organized by using text messaging, and social network websites.......

The Left thrives on chaos.  They use it to implement more of their Control Freak agenda.  We need to be a calming influence, but shaming the trouble makers is still a good idea.  I like to call them spoiled brats.  You will find that most all of the spoiled brats are on the left.

the Plaza and Westport districts have always had problems with youth misconduct. lots of booze and drugs then they hit the streets.
