That and obeying a court decision to allow drilling in the Gulf surely would have a physiological effect and prices would go down.
We have no choice--it's always got ethanol in it here.Average price fairly steady, but still creeping up slowly at around $3.75/gal. I'm expecting a jump this week, next week at the latest.
I thought the subsidies for ethanol didn't get renewed?
Like that would matter?
Ethanol has been a massive disaster, just like every time the libs try to artificially affect green industries.
True. With the increased production of corn to make that crap, farmers have switched from other grain crops to the more profitability of growing more corn. This has led to the reduction and supply causing prices to increase leading to disastrous consequences. Those that live in 3rd world countries spend 50 per cent or more on food to exist and widespread starvation exist because of this stupidity. We can thank Democrats and Republicans for one of the dumbest things that this government has ever done. Even Al Gore says ethanol was a terrible idea.I did not even mention that corn requires more fertilizer and water than other grain crops. Fertilizer prices have shot up thru the roof. Another concern is that the growing of corn year after year without cross rotating/planting will ruin the soil and eventually nothing will grown there because of high PH levels of certain elements.
There's a reason why patriotism is considered a conservative value. Watch a Tea Party rally and you'll see people proudly raising the American flag and showing pride in U.S. heroes such as Thomas Jefferson. Watch an OWS rally and you'll see people burning the American flag while showing pride in communist heroes such as Che Guevera. --Bob, from some news site
