Just gased up my truck - in Indiana, for $4.02/gallon. My favorite station in Illinois was at $4.45/gallon, and I refused to pay that much.

Obama’s latest fake plan for more drilling

First he promised to open up the Atlantic to exploration. Then he reneged. Then he said he’d lift his oil moratorium in the Gulf. Production has only decreased since.

Yesterday Obama again played Lucy to the American energy consumer’s Charlie Brown. This time he is promising to direct “the Department of Interior to conduct annual lease sales in Alaska’s National Petroleum Reserve, while respecting sensitive areas, and to speed up the evaluation of oil and gas resources in the mid and south Atlantic.”

Sounds like more oil production from Alaska and the Atlantic is just around the corner, right? Wrong. The National Petroleum Reserve is right next door to the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge (ANWR). There is nothing less “sensitive” about the land in the National Petroleum Reserve than there is about the land in ANWR. Will Obama ever allow actually drilling on ANWR? No. The exact same is true of the National Petroleum reserve. No new oil will ever be produced from the National Petroleum Reserve while Obama is still president.

Same with drilling in the Atlantic. Here all Obama has promised is to speed up the evaluation. If he follows through on this promise, all that means is we’ll get an ultimate ‘no’ quicker.

Let's see, the imposter first says no drilling in the Gulf of Mexico, now, he wants U.S. drilling after most of all those oil rigs have moved to other Countries?

We ran some errands today.  The nearby gas station was $3.63/gal.  , two other stations were $3.99.  Less than two hours later when we came home, the local station had jacked its price up to $3.99.    Holiday weekend price jacking.  :banghead:

I'd love to see it.  NONE of the gas stations where I live have come down more than a nickel.  Some have yet to drop their prices.  I'm still paying between $3.89-3.96/gal.

National average still at $3.813/gal, NH average at $3.858/gal.  17 cents.  Big friggin whoop.

I noticed ours went down 2 cents since I filled up on Monday.  Fortunately, I don't have to drive anywhere this weekend.

I sit (or stand)  :lmao: corrected.

Price around here ranges all the way up to $4.55, not the $4.15 stated earlier.

And EVERY station goes up at the same time. No price fixing, though. And none of that rumored high price for a holiday weekend, either.  ::)  :whatever:

I know this topic has not been posted in for a while but...

I'm just curious what gas prices are doing in the US right now. Are they still going up? Did they go down? or have they stayed mostly the same?

Up here almost nothing has changed, so I'm just wondering.

It was down to $3.22/9 a gallon a couple of weeks ago. Now, it's back up to $3.48/9 today.

Well....here in Missouri, we have typically the lowest gas prices around.  There are a few reasons for that.  First, we are located on most of the major pipelines from the refineries headed for the northern and eastern cities (transportation costs are therefore minimal), and second, our state gas taxes are among the lowest.

Two weeks ago I filled up at $3.19........it's now at $3.69.   Over a 10% increase in two weeks.

Not a peep out of the media however.......if a Republican was in the WH, that would be all we would hear.

I'm glad that my area isn't alone.  We were down to $3.55, but a couple of days ago it jumped to $3.74.

What's 24 cent to you evil rich people? It's only $4.80 on a 20 gallon fillup for my pickup truck. That's only about enough for a hamburger and a drink at McDonalds.

McDonalds has "Happy Meals" and Obama has "Skip a Meal".

$3.76 and $3.86 here. Illinois seems to be near the top in gas prices.

Illinois is at the top for gas prices. Just cross the border into any one of the neighboring states, and the gas price falls immediately.

Damn, I hate this state. My wife will retire in November, but who the hell would buy our home so we can get the hell out of here?

$3.55 here this morning, and I have ONE question.....why isn't the media howling about it like they did when it was this high during the last administration???

It was all we heard, day after day, it was the lead story......now, nothing.......
