3.35 in Augusta. That's 83.42 per fill-up in the truck (348.6 miles) and 6.03 in the scooter (153 miles).

I blame Obama, and friends just as much. I even blame the Republicans for not doing anything when they had the chance, well until it was too late. Even if drilling in the GOM went back to ull swing by DEC - June 2012 it won't be enough. The hype over the middle east seems to be having less of an effect, but I don't see prices going down even if it is just 10-15 cents.

One reason I am so pissed about this BS is in NOV. it only cost $113 to fill my tank. Now it would cost $142 or $29 more than just four months ago. It might not hamper me too much since my only bills are my truck payment and insurance, but it would cost me $180 a month just to go to work and back. At least the Mobile area is fairing better than most with most stations charging $3.39 per gallon.
If Obama stated that he was allowing permits to go forward in the GOM and they could start drilling now along with giving his blessing for drilling in Anwar, gas prices would plummet. Obama wants high gas prices. The higher the better so that the government can take over the industry. It's for our own good will be his lies, and then you will really see prices jump up. This public and media outcry of high prices is playing right into his hands. Obama and the Democrats are waiting for the right opportunity to pounce on the big, bad oil companies and come riding in on their white horses.

I think you have nailed it dead center, Lacarnut. This from The Weekly Standard via Drudge today-

Is there any end in sight?

Will gasoline really hit $10 a gallon, as the Obama administration has predicted?

Please see graphic on the following web page.

http://www.weeklystandard.com/blogs/hope-and-change-gas-prices-have-gone-67-percent-obama-became-president_553930.html

Ah, January of 2009. Hope was in the air, but more importantly, gas was under two dollars a gallon. Since then gas prices, have gone up 67 percent and it's an ominously upward trend. Interestingly enough, the Heritage Foundation also took a look at the first 26 months of Bush's presidency -- gas only rose 7 percent during that time frame.

Now obviously turmoil in the Middle East has something to do with our current astronomical gas prices, but keep in mind that by this point in the Bush presidency 9/11 had happened and we were on the verge of invading Iraq. So while the president can't be entirely responsible for global commodity prices, it's still worth asking what Obama's doing to make things worse.

After all, this is the President who told us "We can’t drive our SUVs and eat as much as we want and keep our homes on 72 degrees at all times … and then just expect that other countries are going to say OK.”

This is the President that appointed a Secretary of the Interior that famously said he didn't mind if gas hit $10 a gallon.

Hmmm... That looks a lot like the link I posted 2 1/2 hours before, eerie similarities.

Regular is $3.69/9 here in Western New York today.

The last time we saw gas under 2 bucks a gallon was in 2004 not 2009.

Speak for yourself.  I have a receipt from when I filled up the day Obama was inaugurated.  $1.719 a gallon.  And that was an increase from earlier in the month, when I saw as low as $1.499.

Looks like the hype from the middle east is wearing off a bit. Prices here have stabilized and oil has drop $5 in two days. Hopefully oil continue falling like that on monday, and gas soon to follow.

Still going up.  5 cents since last week.  Better than the 12-15 cents a week, but fuel prices may have a bit before they're "caught up", and no signs of crude prices getting back to the $75/bbl range anytime soon.

Must be somewhere in the 3.40 range for regular huh?? I have found that Maine is always at least 10 cents higher than NH. We are looking at $3.53 at Cumby's

Depends on the town.  Most of the places around here are in the $3.49-3.52 range.  BJ's in Portsmouth is $3.39 IIRC, close to the same price as the "cheap" areas like Exeter and Newmarket.

Anything close to the major roads (Rt. 101, Spaulding, I-95) that isn't a club store is going for $3.50/gal.

I try to fill up when in NH when I visit My mum(Gibbs on RT1,Portsmouth, Rye line)because it is cheaper. In the last few years Shaws Supermarkets has had an ongoing deal with Irving. As Shaws are so expensive to begin with, I don't see where the savings are, even with the Shaws card.

Regular is 4.95/G (1.31/L)
Diesel is 5.14/G (1.36/L)

Quite a price hike when the prices changed the other night. I think I'm going to run the car on homemade biodiesel or whatever it is. Perhaps haul out my old LPG Renault 5.

We are at $3.71....but for once it didn't go up overnite.  Stayed the same.  When it goes to $4, people around start getting mighty agitated.  Food or fuel?  Very few rich people around here.

$3.55 here.  It's been around $3.51-3.57 for at least a couple weeks.  I suppose it will only go up again.

3.37 here today.  This station went up to 3.41 on Thursday, and then back down to 3.39 Friday through the weekend, and now down to 3.37.  It's a pattern, it will go up again on Thursday, if it continues.
