Man, Barbara's looking good, hale and hearty, but damn, it breaks the heart to see the elder George Bush having to use a cane.

It's inevitable that people grow old and frail, but one dislikes seeing it happen.

I think he had surgery - knee? hip? not too long ago. That may be why he's using the cane.

I thought the same thing, that Miss Barbara looked really good, especially so, since she has been so ill lately.

At one point, at the end of a half-inning (3rd, I think), here's W cheering on the outcome . . . and Mom looking into her reading glasses, as she was scrawling onto the scorecard.  The contrast was funny.

I saw that live. I got goosebumps. After Bush threw out the first pitch, people were chanting U.S.A, U.S.A. It was awesome. :cheersmate: :cheersmate:
