Introducing VIOLATOR - the new and improved DUmpDiver

I am pleased to announce the prototype release of VIOLATOR, my new software application for keeping statistics on the worst of the American left.  This application is only about half finished, but I have the DUmmy counting part done, and thought I'd share it with you.

One of the problems with DUmpDiver was that it was "page based".  It counted DUmmies by pages (80 posts per page).  Though this method gave a fairly accurate count of the DUmmies, it wasn't as accurate as I wanted.

VIOLATOR is TIME/DATE based.  It only counts posts and DUmmies within its scan range (which is assignable).

These results are based on a 3 day scan.

VIOLATOR produces XML (eXtensible Markup Language) output, which looks like this...

This is showing 2457 individual treasonous bastards posting in the "Big Five" forums in the past three days.

It also shows that 99.6744% of them are donors to $kimmers kids college fund, an almost absurd number.  Maybe the recent purge eliminated a few non-donors?

Also, note that almost 72% of the DUmmies have fewer than 10 posts in the scan period, with 24.58% having only one post.

One of the fun things in VIOLATOR is the graphical output.  Here is a timeline chart showing how many posts in each hour were made by the traitors...

The differences you see between numPosts and actualPosts reflect the time/date search function.  Many threads start prior to the scan range and span into it.  VIOLATOR only counts the posts within its range, hence the actual posts are the number of posts made in the VIOLATOR scan range.

I have one of these snippets for EVERY DUmmy that has posted, and I have a search application for the file.

Our old friend "Name removed" being the top poster and another example of free speech on $kins island.

I left the timeline in for Doug's Ex-Wife (in purple), because I'm sure franksolich wants to know when Beth posts.  It's like "when is this chick NOT posting at the DUmp?".

Also note the breakout of posts per forum per DUmmy.

In Beth's case, she posted 32 times in Latest Breaking News, 126 times in General Discussion, 9 times in General Discussion - The Idiocy, and not at all in the Lounge or Editorials.

There are a lot more fun things, cool charts and interesting stats coming from VIOLATOR in the next few weeks, so stay tuned, this is gonna be a blast.

Violator doesn't count AdBot, DUmpDiver did.

An interesting stat about AdBot is that the difference between total threads scanned (7920) and AdBot "posts" (6608) equals the number of threads that were too worthless for any DUmmy to reply to.

In that run...1312 of them.

Not much statistically, probably about 5%.
Errors in the old one would have been DUmmies who were tombstoned or just left somewhere in the timespan of 20 pages at the DUmp, and 20 pages represented different amounts of time for different fora. If this happened, they would have still been counted, until all their posts dropped into the archive.

This version is accurate down to the minute.
