Rock singer Alice Cooper has lost a brand partnership with a cosmetics company over his comments about transgender people, including describing it as a "fad."The 75-year-old, whose given name is Vincent Damon Furnier, is best known for his signature black eye make-up, gender-bending stage costumes, and spooky props, including fake blood and guillotines. He was set to team up with Vampyre Cosmetics for a makeup collection named after him, but the company dumped him over comments he made during an interview with the music website Stereogum. Newsweek contacted Cooper's representatives by email for comment.

I suspect that Cooper has the wherewithal and fanbase to not care. Cooper has been POing the Prog crowd for a couple of decades, for reasons that are good.
That’s what some don’t understand, when you are rich and famous enough anything the woke cancel culture people do doesn’t really matter.
As a long time fan of Alice (since I was 12 years old and School's Out was the first record I ever bought), this is just staying consistent with his basic beliefs. One of my favorite Alice quotes“I call it treason against rock 'n' roll because rock is the antithesis of politics. Rock should never be in bed with politics. ... When I was a kid and my parents started talking about politics, I'd run to my room and put on the Rolling Stones as loud as I could. So when I see all these rock stars up there talking politics, it makes me sick. .... If you're listening to a rock star in order to get your information on who to vote for, you're a bigger moron than they are. Why are we rock stars? Because we're morons. We sleep all day, we play music at night and very rarely do we sit around reading the Washington Journal.”― Alice Cooperhttps://www.goodreads.com/quotes/166720-i-call-it-treason-against-rock-n-roll-because-rock
