The story continues.
A female TX state trooper, along with at least 6 other troopers, was on site at the school in Uvalde during the shootings in May. She left employ with the DPS in August and was hired on in Uvalde as a school police officer. Less than 24 hours later, in response to backlash from parents and others due to the officer being under investigation for her conduct during the shootings, she was fired.
It's an AP story, so no link.
Next on the hit parade, Uvalde school district suspends its ENTIRE police force in the aftermath of the shooting. Length of suspension not clear. School superintendent then announced he'd be retiring (how convenient). They plan on requesting additional support from DPS in the interim.
