Speedskaters in the Olympics
« on: January 21, 2022, 09:36:22 AM »
I confess I don't follow this sport at all, and I've long since considered the Olympics to be just another political platform. BUT, there is a sense of team thinking that's supposed to be inherent to the Olympics and I'm pleased to see some of that here.

I spend more than a bit of time snarking and bitching about stuff, but this is good stuff that needs to be mentioned and extolled. (OMG a link to TWATTER??? God help us all!!!  :panic:)

As bad as I hate to admit it, I’m hooked on curling. Absolutely love watching it and the only time I get to see it is during the Winter Olympics!

Maybe you should move to Canada, eh? :-)

Admittedly, I started to enjoy it about 20 years ago during the Winter Olympics.  The figure skating and snow sports have never interested me, but curling seemed so interesting.

But yes, it never seems to be on except for every four years during Winter Olympic years.

It’s like the shooting sports. I have to look those up.

I also like curling. But I do like the skiing events, especially the men and women's downhill. I like all the bobsledding events and the ski jumping.
