China declares itself the winner of the 2020 Olympics after altering medal count to claim those won by Hong Kong, Taiwan and Macau.

Chinese state media has declared the country the winners of the 2020 Tokyo Olympics after claiming medals won by Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Macau.

Although these are Chinese territories, they govern and compete separately from mainland China.

China earned 38 gold, 32 silver, and 18 bronze for a total of 88 medals but are claiming 41 gold, 37 silver, and 27 bronze for an accumulative 106 medals.

According to the International Olympic Committee, Team USA took first place with 39 gold medals, 41 silver medals, and 33 bronze for a total of 113 medals.

China is adept at stealing other countries intellectual properties. Why not add olympic medals to the pile of stolen goods.
