Title: The Atlantic - LET’S DECLARE A PANDEMIC AMNESTY
Post by: RuralNc on October 31, 2022, 01:57:33 PM
So, evidently we are supposed to just forgive and forget.

1. All those lockdowns? Forget about it.

2. Telling us we would kill granny? Forget about it.

3. Trying to force us/and possibly our business into financial ruin? Hahaha... Forget about it!

How about no. How about you fall off a cliff somewhere? Hows that sound?

These precautions were totally misguided. In April 2020, no one got the coronavirus from passing someone else hiking. Outdoor transmission was vanishingly rare. Our cloth masks made out of old bandanas wouldn’t have done anything, anyway. But the thing is: We didn’t know.

Those 3 words. We. Didnt. Know.

How many of were affected by that. It almost personally put me out of business, and my wife on possible layoff. By the grace of the good lord above it didnt come to fruition. But I know plenty of folks who weren't that blessed. I know another Baker who had to lock her doors and was barely able to open back up for business.

And yet we have lefties who to this day insist we should be locked into our homes.  :hammer:

A moron could have foreseen that in March 2020! But bureaucrats are sub-morons.

Among the many SF Bay Area businesses killed off by The Shutdown were at least two running event organizers - outdoor, experienced in starting in groups, and experienced in food and drink handling at aid stations and finish areas. No small-medium running events were allowed from mid March 2020 until June 2021 in some Bay Areas counties, and even later in other counties.

But the thing is: We didn’t know.

You "didn't know" because you steadfastly refused to listen to dissenters, who were saying we would see the exact consequences we have seen.

They “didn’t know “ because they were seeing how far they could push it  :thatsright:
Constitution and civil rights be damned..

But they defeated Trump and got their sock puppet in

The bureaucrats need a bit of Skinnerian "negative reinforcement" as a learning aid.

I'll just continue-on, like a Rogue Roman in the Frazetta-painting, or something...  " Do I sound like I'm forgetting and forgiving... ?! "

Cruz said it best - "Now that Republicans are about to get subpoena power, the left suddenly wants you to forget about their abusive power grabs for the past two years..."

And the kicker is, suddenly Cruz's tweet is "no longer available."

C'mon, Elon, get with the program here!  :rotf:

Randi Weingartner jumps on the amnesty wagon -- why not? She and her thugs drove the decisions to keep kids out of school, which Whitmer, et. al., were only too happy to do (and to lie about on the debate stage).

The nursing-home separations and the forced-separations relating to funerals SCREAM-OUT for some sort of physical retributions.  Our great great grandchildren will ask our great grandchildren why public hangings weren't brought back.
