Quote
On Thursday, Queen Elizabeth II was pronounced dead at the age of 96.

The Queen, who celebrated her Platinum Jubilee this year marking 70 years as the United Kingdom’s monarch, passed surrounded by family in her Scottish estate Balmoral.

The Royal Family's official Twitter account confirmed the Queen's death, stating that the new King and Queen Consort will stay at Balmoral for the evening, and will return to London tomorrow.

God save our gracious Queen!
Long live our noble Queen!
God save the Queen!
Send her victorious,
Happy and glorious,
Long to reign over us,
God save the Queen.

Thy choicest gifts in store
On her be pleased to pour,
Long may she reign.
May she defend our laws,
And ever give us cause,
To sing with heart and voice,
God save the Queen.

I think she personified the word "class" though sometimes her public image was one of an inflexible and steely monarch.

She stayed consistent while her offspring were anything but.

Watch Chuck do some really stupid shit -- he's had 72 years to think about how stupid he's going to be and I'm quite sure he'll be an expert at it.

The UK has had poor luck with kings named Charles.

Charles III seems to be about as "wise" in his personal life - = women - as was the then future Edward VII, son and successor to Queen Victoria. PoW Charles did marry Her Equinity, Camilla.
