MSNBC just said Brown is leading Warren by 9 points in a recent poll,
and it's the third poll showing he has the lead.

What's going on???

after two years of being a dependable GOP vote on most issues, Brown is suddenly being more 'independent' but that will reverse again after the election if he wins. I hope the people of MA see thru it. Part of the problem is he is getting almost 30% of the Democratic vote in this most recent poll.

I believe that no woman in the history of the state has ever won statewide office in Massachusetts.

When Romney won in 2002 he defeated a woman.

Then, in this very blue/liberal state, another woman lost statewide office for TED KENNEDY'S OLD SEAT!

And now just under 2 years later, this is the second poll that shows Obama with a roughly 20 point lead in his race, while a candidate like Elizabeth Warren trails by double digits IN THE SAME POLL!


Yes... I know what you are going to say. The two women candidates (2002, 2010) who the Democrats nominated simply weren't that good. Well, maybe so. But then how do you explain Elizabeth Warren? No reasonable person can provide an explanation as to how she is now a double digit underdog in the state of Massachusetts.


I guess she is just "another bad candidate too, who just happens to be a woman." Oh.. and by the way.. my best friend is black.

Back during the Brown/Coakley Senate race, I had to wince anytime some Democratic/Liberal blogger, pundit, analyst, DU'er, etc emphasized that it was "Ted Kennedy's seat... that it would be sacrilegious if a Republican won "Ted Kennedy's seat", etc.

The fact is... it never was in any way shape or form "Ted Kennedy's seat"; it was the Senate seat
designated for the electorate and citizens of Massachusetts.

Calling the vacancy, or referring to it as "Ted Kennedy's' seat" was/is arrogant and inaccurate.

There's no telling how much the voter backlash and response cost Coakley the election, but, it had to have some impact.

It would be a big mistake to take up that battle cry again.

It's not really misogyny if they can correctly perceive that she is an elitist, arrogant flaming bitch of the first water, and would rather have a rational and down-to-Earth guy instead, even if he does happen to be a Republican.

I'm gonna have to disagree with obama being a run-away winner as of today's date.

DUmmies believe it to be true.

The media believe it to be true.

Obama hopes it true.

To use a football analogy, "That's why they play the game."

I know I don't sound very convincing but I live in a blue area and many obama suppoerters from 08 are not going to vote for him this year. Some of them have even denied voting for him in 08.

This is purely anecdotal - Today Massachusetts votes as part of the 'Super Tuesday' gang of states. At about 10 minutes of three this afternoon, I got to place the 86th ballot into the box. There are normally better than 500 at this time in this really blue city in the commonwealth.

It is true that there is nothing at the top of the Democratic ticket this year, however there are still several down-ticket races that should interest Democrats. It seems for the first time in a long time, Democrats just don't care. Good.

As for denials, I've encountered one so far - Person who 'enthusiastically' told me about their Obama vote recently mentioned in passing they didn't vote at all that year.
