What a load of horseshit. Socialism by it's very nature can never be achieved without forcing a free person to give up something of himself whether his labors, freedom, or privacy(all most likely). The 'peaceful' crap is a load of horse dung used to sell the idea to dipshits like Taverner and other liberals who object to actually fighting someone for thier ideals, then the real socialists/communists take over. I had youth an inexperience on my side fueled by all the misconceptions delivered up by BigEd, at both the secondary and post secondary level. It took me years before I was finally able to see through the elaborate maze of misinformation postulated by numerous left leaning professors. A favorite tactic is to obscure terms then minimize any opposition by saying they lack "knowledge or understanding" of what the particular 'ism' under discussion really is.
For example, "You don't know what Socialism really is." , " No, that is not what Communism is according to Trotsky." , "Mussolini was not a Fascist." "Hitler opposed Communism."
They always tell you what it isn't, never what it is.
