(CNSNews.com) – In a statement released Friday, President Barack Obama declared that "LGBT persons are endowed with" what he called "inalienble rights," but ommited the word "Creator" from what clearly was an allusion to the famous language of the Declaration of Independence.

The president's June 17 statement was in response to a U.N. resolution on human rights, sexual orientation and gender identity.

“(T)his marks a significant milestone in the long struggle for equality, and the beginning of a universal recognition that LGBT persons are endowed with the same inalienable rights -- and entitled to the same protections -- as all human beings,” the statement said.

The Declaration of Independence reads: “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.” (Bolding added).

Friday’s statement was the third time this year that the president has used the “inalienable rights” language and omitted the word “Creator.”

Leaving the Creator out of a statement involving the words "endowed" and "inalienable" is mind-boggling.  From whom, pray tell, are these rights endowed and why are they inalienable?

I am not convinced obama is a muslim.
Yes, he has muzzie roots, but Obama is a socialist/communist to the core, and they are all...atheist.
Like all good leftists, Obama despises people of faith. He cozies up to muslims only because he thinks he can influence them.

Its moments like this that bring his lack of any faith out into the open.

Actually, it's what is meant by the sentiments that are expressed that is most disturbing.

What is this nonsense about "the beginning of a universal recognition that LGBT persons are endowed with the same inalienable rights"?  Whoever said they weren't?  Make no mistake about it, these punks are not talking about fundamental inalienable rights, they're talking about governmentally enforced civil rights protections exerted against the fundamental rights of individual liberty and free association in the private and public sectors.  
But, seriously, who really cares what Helen Thomas thinks about anything? She's like that crazed and deformed aunt (the obscenity-spouting elephant girl) one might hide away from the neighbors in one's basement for most of the year and only briefly let out, though tethered to a chain, for spring cleanings.
